Grounding kit..

pls can anyone advise know how good is grounding for car..

 

will it improve performce..

Hi Spin..this is what I have read from the previous thread(Dunno where is it already)

 

Grounding only improves electrical component in the vehicle. eg. headlight brighter, aircon colder... For auto cars, maybe smoother transmission because the electrical signal to the ECU is cleaner..ECU reads more accurately.

grounding kit doesn't improve performance (eg speed, pick-up).

 

it will only improve yr electrical stuff (headlights, stereos....)

 

and if you are on manual gear, the change of gears will be smoother (not so much jerky).

 

i think one bad side of grounding kit is to watch yr battery closely - the water level goes down faster.

 

i'm using it on previoius ride as well as present ride. so i can tell the differences. if yr sound system setup is solid solid, then grounding will help to give more "mmph"! brighter headlights is also true.

Chuan Lee Hin Tyres at Midview building in bukit batok does a very good job at grounding. Very neatly done. Wires are well hidden and do not run all over the place like some installations. More importantly, they ground the right points. Lotsa workshops dun ground the correct points so effectively, the additional grounding is redundant.

 

For $110, you get 5 point grounding plus a Volt Stab at the same time. Volt Stab is taiwanese made but construction looks quite alright.

 

Air intake mods and exhaust mods(usually non-LTA approved) probably gives the best performance enhancement. Lightweight rims as well.
