Secondhand Neutral Newbie February 7, 2005 Author Share February 7, 2005 Clutch... that thing that transfer engine power to the wheels... Oh wait... Clutch plate... How often do we replace that thingy?
Skodarr Neutral Newbie February 7, 2005 Share February 7, 2005 (edited) To identify that you need to change it, you will feel the Clutch will slip very time you clutch in and a cranking noise will occur when a gear is engage. Furthermore, you will also feel there's a lack of power / response. Normally, we call it Clutch Pressure Plate and Clutch Disc which have to change both of these to rectify this normal wear and tear maintenance. Manual transmission oil will also needed to be change if possible at the sametime. Edited February 9, 2005 by Skodarr

Dudemobile Neutral Newbie February 8, 2005 Share February 8, 2005 definately not cos got to disconnect the gearbox from the engine and change the clutch plate. Not something you can do easily.
Secondhand Neutral Newbie February 8, 2005 Author Share February 8, 2005 Oh... I thought could've save some $$ by DIY if the need arises.
Dudemobile Neutral Newbie February 8, 2005 Share February 8, 2005 the only thing i could DIY with regards to my car was my 1st ride. 1972" toyota celica. Everything can DIY cos pure mechanical car. My throttle leve broke and used a old metal hang, bend hear and there, then fix it. Use spring from 35c pen and fixed carburetor butterfly value thingy (cos the spring busted and throttle does not close after you release the accelerator. Nowadays, got sensors every where and you'll need fancy jigs to hold things in place. One simple thing out of place and the whole ECU will execute a "blue screen of death". Secondhand Neutral Newbie February 8, 2005 Author Share February 8, 2005 Blue screen easy to clear... Just hold ctrl, alt and del. Or u could just press clutch, break and accelerator while switching off and switching on engine. Sure can restart ECU...
Sky8807 1st Gear February 8, 2005 Share February 8, 2005 Not possible. Not at DIY stuff.
Dudemobile Neutral Newbie February 9, 2005 Share February 9, 2005 go for the even easier alternative. cold reboot (aka, dissconnect battery for about 10mins). hahahah
Secondhand Neutral Newbie February 9, 2005 Author Share February 9, 2005 (edited) Better yet... During thunder storm, go to open area, hook a metal rod to the car and wire it to the ECU. Once lightning strike, ECU confirm plus guarantee plus chopp, no more blue screen... Instead u'll get 50% increase in horse power...
