Actual use of detailer.

Went to Shell to pump petrol today n saw the detailer from black magic. Wanted to buy but on second thoughts didnt know the actual use of it.Written on the back of the bottle claims that it can remove water marks..true??Can any bro enlighten pls??

It's referring to the water marks left on the car after a rain or the marks left after you wash the car (you didn't dry it fast enough and the water leave a mark there). Personally I use qd for light dusting eg. in the middle of the week . Make sure you have a good mf towel, if not you'll definitely scratch the car (from personal experience)

only good for those "fresh" watermarks.

 

for those old water marks, you probably cant get them off even if you were to polish (DIY). only pros with pro tools and industrial grade polish can remove them... at the expense of removing a tiny thin layer from the clear coat

For water marks, you can try 3M Swirl Mark Remover or Autoglymn Paint Renovator.
