This is the mid range from Toyo.

 

Wear rate pretty bad for a non performance tyre. Should be able to last you around 40,000km or thereabouts. Its boasted to be a SO3 competitor but in actual fact its far from it.

 

I find that its a pretty decent tyre...better than BS GIII yes...but SO3....cannot compare. The Toyo T1S is a direct competitor to the SO3.

 

Dry - Execellent grip. Roll well controlled as the sidewall on the stiff side.

Wet - So so only. Take care when braking at high speed....it doesn't bite like SO3 does. But still out perform most rubbers like dBs etc easily.

 

For 15'....dun pay more than 100 bucks for it.

Very good and aggressive tyre, but noise is a concern cos is a directional

tyre. Next 6 months will hardly get any rain, hence you may like to consider

asymetric pattern like the Michelin MXV8 or XM1, quieter but loses out in the wet.

u tink sg can get the toyo vimode for 175/55R15? less then 100 bucks can get?

I was offered 100 bucks for the Vimode at a tyre shop at Changi Road....can't remember the name of the shop...its 486 Changi Road....just inbetween the Shell and SPC station...on your right. Yellow colour shop...quite hard to miss.

 

The profile was 185/55/15.

 

I kuku paid 130 for 15' at the stupid authorised dealer. Never will I be getting my rubbers from him.

some1 change to brigdestone gIII for $115. if the vimode is 100 then its very worth it. consider it should be in the same catergory if not better then the GIII.

i got it at JB, about SG$500 for 4 pieces 16/45/205, with nitrogen plus 4 wheel alignment...i read some thread saying the made in thailand not as good as the made in germany one. my rubbers are the thai made ones, good enought for me though...

 

For a 45, its really comfy and the grip pretty ok. and like some reviews say.....Its the King of Wet Grip..... i nvr had any problems so far on rainy days.

Thanks bro.if I may, a word of caution..no matter how good or grippy ur rubbers are in the wet, always drive cautiosly..there's more to water n aquaplanin than most of us think.
