Dtvox Neutral Newbie March 16, 2005 Share March 16, 2005 Can the owners or prospective buyers find out whether the COE is indeed the 'freak' ones on the OneMotoring website under the Parf COE Rebate? ↡ Advertisement
Schneider79 Clutched March 16, 2005 Share March 16, 2005 can... there is a section where they post the pass years' COE results. you can find them there... 12/97 Cat B $50 11/2000 Cat B $12888 07/2001 Cat A $101 Basically, these are the 3 freak results... BUT you need to becareful... 01/98, 02/98... 12/2000... 01/2001... 08/2001... all these months... COE maybe affected due to late deliveries... then also 12/2004... coe cat B at $14k... Dtvox Neutral Newbie March 16, 2005 Share March 16, 2005 Thanks for the info... I checked the Onemotoring site to check the COE rebate. Am I able to assume that if I were to scrap my car tommorow, that will be the portion that I am entitled? (For example, the 1997 case - Will the owner able to log in and see that the COE rebate is only $20 as oppose to $30K plus)
Schneider79 Clutched March 17, 2005 Share March 17, 2005 yes.. the owner can see the $20 thing on the COPE rebate column... you can also see the PARF rebate...
Dtvox Neutral Newbie March 17, 2005 Share March 17, 2005 With this in place...I don't see if any prospective buyer of one of these 'lemon COE' cars would fall for it again. Whatever it is, it is the owner that have to do the due diligence.
Schneider79 Clutched March 17, 2005 Share March 17, 2005 the problem is... you need to key in the IC number and the car registration number... if preowned.. most likely it will be transferred into the company's name... then you need to know the registration number before you can find out the rebate online... maybe the moderators can sticky up the freak COEs for those 3 months up... so everyone will know if they want to get a preowned car... Also 1 tip... car prices on this 3 months are way below normal cars' depreciation rate or market value... i just sold a civic VTI reg 7/01 at 4.6k depre. Compared to a 5.5k depre on the market... V200 Neutral Newbie March 18, 2005 Share March 18, 2005 tape recorder might not be sufficient...usually inadmissible as court evidence.... keke.....video cam better lah yah. But at least you can bring to CASE or to that fella's boss. But if the sale's person's boss is an ass, then at least can bring to case or police. I mean, who wants the issue to be blown out? Moreover got recording, even if court cannot win, the company's reputation is gone! Can always go to the media!
