u don't have the model no.can't tell ,but it's cheap for 4ch amp.if u don't really aiming for high quality amp .then is alright. cheap..........

this amp alone (Rodek sm7550 ) is probably selling for less then 160 in simlim tower...

 

Ask before. This model quite old already, so shops no more stock. Did ask the 4 channel model of the same series, SM7540. that already cos $200+. Anyway, need also to pay for the power kit, re-wiring all 5 speakers and workmanship to install amp.So think $450 still OK.

that amp red colour issit, then got big Xplode on it, then got MADE IN JAPAN outside issit?

 

last time i checked it out, opening price was $155.. u better go check it out properly.

 

but i duno abt the sound ah.. well... try slonez's Xtant, super smooth and clear, good buy. don buy cheapo stuff and end up changin.. sure headache one.. once u get into this, u sure want better and better..

my opinion, Sony amps are super cheap. their 1200 watt amp is like 280.. but duno how true lah.. only 2 channel.

 

tink someone here sellin his PPI amp.. i tink thats a good buy. maybe should consider...

yes it is red colour indeed, not sure of its country of origin, will verify again on my next visit. When was last time you went down??? $155 is very much cheaper, will benchmark from u.

Any idea, how much a typical pre-amp would cost??? or rather is it necessary to get one???

yes the star shade is a mono block.the xplore got the 4ch amp .not bad and is cheap

no need preamp one lah.. preamp can get $30 2nd hand on yahoo auction..

 

go and recce the whole of SLT.. tats wat i did, u'll get a lot of prices..

 

if u lookin for cheap amp, i'm sellin one for 90. 2 channel.. 200 watts.. can go lower if u serious..used it to power my jbl gt100 woofer b4 switching..

 

aniway.. if u wanna go into ICE, get a good amp.. cos it does make a world of difference.. go check out yahoo auctions or the classifieds here..

yes,pre amp is additional control all the high,mid,low output,and u listen to different song,u need to adjust every now and then ,unless u don't mind. just get a good a good 4ch amp ,and a mono amp for yr sub then u will be happy.
