Hi,

Has anyone had this problem regarding this on their aveo5 and i got my car only about two weeks ago, within 5 days i when back to replace my disk rotor and brake pad.

They response back to me was that a stone might had went in to it or due to your design of your sport rim and they also mention is outside their warrantly when you do not use their Rims.Only by looking at your disk rotor without taking out the wheels or inspects further.

Anyway, after some e-mailing to the Service Manager he asked down to had it check and they found some like metal chips inside the brake pad and manage to replace it for free,But i still got this problem back again after replace it for two days only, but this time is not ask bad you had seen in the attachment, slighty groove on the disk rotor.

Pls advise.

Thanks

Dicky

SA would not replace the Disk Rotor

based on the fact that a After market

rims are used. However, if you are

using their Factory rims, then how

would you see or identify these grooves

since the Factory Rims design dont permit

large expose area to the Disk Rotor and

Pads..

Anyway, its alright if these grooves

are present in the disk surface.

It wili not cause any braking issue

and the brakes will function as normal.

What I would think of is that you will

need to replace the Brakes Pads more often

since the grooves will eat into a brand new

pads in no time and the replacement interval

will be shorter.

Thanks Bro,

No choice la then have to change disk rotor again, maybe try to use back their normal rims that come with the aveo and monitor the disk rotor.
