Jamestan Neutral Newbie April 6, 2005 Share April 6, 2005 I installed a set of Hankook tyres, RA08 for my company's Mercedes bus, MB140D and am quite happy with the feel. Cost wise, its rather cheap, at SGD125 each for 195/75/R16. The steering feels lighter now (maybe the old stock tyres were .....old??) and well bus does not feel that "bumpy" now. I have always kept the bus in tip top condition, including pumping the correct air pressure for the tyres, etc, and the old tyres still feels sluggish. Will post more once this set reaches 1000km. If more pple interested, will keep posting at 5000km, 10000km. As of today, it has done slightly above 200km. Cheers.... ↡ Advertisement

The_young_once Neutral Newbie May 1, 2005 Share May 1, 2005 hey you could try to go for a 215/65 16 or 215/60 16 on your next change, passenger car tires come in those sizes, but of course must check load rating also, but i think should be can
Jamestan Neutral Newbie May 5, 2005 Author Share May 5, 2005 If you talking about 14 or 15", then below 100 also can. Recently, my friend changed her Sunny 14" tires at 75 each GR80. Another one changed a set of 15" Dunlop at 90 each.

Archenemy 1st Gear December 30, 2010 Share December 30, 2010 hey you could try to go for a 215/65 16 or 215/60 16 on your next change, passenger car tires come in those sizes, but of course must check load rating also, but i think should be can an easy way to know if the tyre is designed for mini-bus/vans is to look at the tyre size carefully... those meant for mini-bus/vans will read 215/65R16C....the "C" being "commercial" another clue is to look at the ply rating..usually 8PR for commercial tyres... normal passenger car tyres will be 4PR..and it might not be even stated.. dont try to fit passenger car tyres onto these mini-bus/vans...i have seen disasterous results before..unless of course..you dont carry loads...then it should be fine..
