Recommended Posts

Bro,

Has anyone used this HU?

Besides installing fees, I checked with some shops that it will cost $150-200 to tune the HU?

Do i ready need to tune the HU with my ICE? Can i do it myself?

The HX-D2 is a pretty advance HU, you can set quite a number of perimeter & it also has built-in x'over for the front component.

Unless you're well versed, it would be better if you get a professional to set it up. No point getting an excellent HU if it is not optimise.

What equipment do you have?

I have

PPI Pre-Amp

1 pair of Eton CLK65 for front

1 pair of Boston Rally for Rear

1 '10' Rainbow Sub-woofer.

2 x Velocity 504 for front/sub

1 x Velocity 502 for rear speaker.

I've not personally heard the equipment you have except the PPI preamp & Boston. Looks like a serious setup [thumbsup] .

I think the HX-D2 is probably the best reasonably priced HU on the market now. You can't go wrong with it if you're serious about your sound.

I find the time alignment, built-in crossover to be quite good & useful if you want minimal setup cost.

If you're set on HX-D2, can pay my installer a visit. He's a authorized Clarion dealer & a very good installer. He can give you some advise.
