Vit4wd 1st Gear June 30, 2005 Share June 30, 2005 Yeah. Looks like Seat Toledo. But if it sells for below $50K in S'pore, or around Matrix prices, should attract a large crowd.
Sam_wong_cm Clutched June 30, 2005 Share June 30, 2005 The design sure look out dated ... They should have just try to copy the MK II Tody, and at a price of $50K .. and it will attract a lot of potential owner ..

Renegade Neutral Newbie June 30, 2005 Share June 30, 2005 (edited) "Perhaps it is a joint venture with Nissin?" ...as in the cup-noodle makers ? Possible, I suppose Also, I wonder what's with the "Chery" name - did they accidentally drop an "r" or is that deliberate, too ? Renegade Neutral Newbie June 30, 2005 Share June 30, 2005 ...with a name like that (WindCloud ?), what will they think of next ? WindChime ? (Or is that one taken ?) WindBreaker ? It probably sounds really good in Chinese but I can't imagine saying, "Oh, I drive a WindCloud" with a straight face...then again, I still have problems explaining to people what I drive to anything's possible, I suppose.... Genie47 1st Gear June 30, 2005 Share June 30, 2005 I think China is bringing recombinant DNA technology to the motor industry. All these cars should be called chimeracars.

Chimp Clutched June 30, 2005 Share June 30, 2005 (edited) Must be the effect of skipping lunch this afternoon. It seems that Chery has been getting a lot of attentions from other car makers: GMDAT, Chery Legal Battle Could Enter U.S. By Brian Corbett WardsAuto.com, Jan 10 2005 Entrepreneur Malcolm Bricklin could face a lawsuit in the U.S. from GM if he imports the China-built Chery QQ car. Renegade Neutral Newbie June 30, 2005 Share June 30, 2005 Of course, China could file for a grieviance on grounds of protectionism and counter-slap some tarrifs elsewhere, escalating another trade war of sorts....man, don't you love these east-west confrontations ? ↡ Advertisement
