Bought one in JB Rm19.90 made in taiwan (Simota@)-good price.

Quality quite good. Look alike K&N one or PiperX

Here U go!

This is not the main air intake, usually pple changed the cone type, and the small hose will put one of this brether.

U should seem U air intake got two hose, one big and one small but connected each other, When U changed the cone type air filter, then the small one will use this direct breath the air and become better response-both side got more direct air, unless some stainless steel hose one got another hole to connect the small hose. U know wat I'm saying!? [shocked]

Not really. [crazy] I think you fit in your Mondy first, the next time we meet I'll take a look and try to digest.

 

There's only one extra hole in my intake and it's an oil scavenger, connected to the engine via a small tube.

Oh, saw this also... in malacca workshop.... RM$14.90.... but i dunno where is it fixed. Can show a pic with it fitting into your car? [cool]

Looks like it's connected to the engine - at the oil scavenging outlet. You only need that if you install a new intake system without an inlet for oil scavenging. Don't think there's any performance gain from that.

 

So it seems you're looking at a new intake system. [;)]

Previously when i got an intake system for my previous car, there was a tube from the part shown leading to the rest of the intake pipe. This serves the same purpose i think. There is definitely no performance gain. So i guess you are right! [:)]
