Mondeo Neutral Newbie April 9, 2002 Author Share April 9, 2002 U should seem U air intake got two hose, one big and one small but connected each other, When U changed the cone type air filter, then the small one will use this direct breath the air and become better response-both side got more direct air, unless some stainless steel hose one got another hole to connect the small hose. U know wat I'm saying!?
Mondeo Neutral Newbie April 9, 2002 Author Share April 9, 2002 Cheap mah , and sometime difficult to find also.
Madarmour Neutral Newbie April 9, 2002 Share April 9, 2002 Not really. I think you fit in your Mondy first, the next time we meet I'll take a look and try to digest. There's only one extra hole in my intake and it's an oil scavenger, connected to the engine via a small tube.
Mondeo Neutral Newbie April 9, 2002 Author Share April 9, 2002 (edited) OK, but will not fit to Mondy now, can get a example pic later. Let me digest the "Slum Dunk" first SCV#19 19:00 Edited April 9, 2002 by Mondeo
Guyver 1st Gear April 9, 2002 Share April 9, 2002 Oh, saw this also... in malacca workshop.... RM$14.90.... but i dunno where is it fixed. Can show a pic with it fitting into your car?
Mondeo Neutral Newbie April 9, 2002 Author Share April 9, 2002 Alright, got the pics.
Madarmour Neutral Newbie April 10, 2002 Share April 10, 2002 (edited) Looks like it's connected to the engine - at the oil scavenging outlet. You only need that if you install a new intake system without an inlet for oil scavenging. Don't think there's any performance gain from that. So it seems you're looking at a new intake system. Thanks for the pics. It tells a thousand words! Edited April 10, 2002 by Mikeckchong
Magfocus 5th Gear April 10, 2002 Share April 10, 2002 Previously when i got an intake system for my previous car, there was a tube from the part shown leading to the rest of the intake pipe. This serves the same purpose i think. There is definitely no performance gain. So i guess you are right!
Madarmour Neutral Newbie April 10, 2002 Share April 10, 2002 I think your current car should have an oil scavenging tube too.
Magfocus 5th Gear April 10, 2002 Share April 10, 2002 Gotta check. It should be from the crankcase
Guyver 1st Gear April 10, 2002 Share April 10, 2002 Hey, so is there any difference in performance by adding the breather? ↡ Advertisement
