Monet2 Neutral Newbie January 7, 2003 Share January 7, 2003 My mech told me it is ok to flush my engine everytime I go for servicing but how true it is and what is the process, I saw my mech pour in a can of flush material and let the engine run for few minutes and drain out later. is that the way to do it. ↡ Advertisement

Acemundo Supercharged January 8, 2003 Share January 8, 2003 Yes, it is the way to do it but preference is up to the individual and the workshop whether to flush it at every servicing. usually, authorised dealer's workshop will do it every servicing so as to ensure their car is in tip top condition and helps to maintain their reputation. even the filters they change at every servicing for old cars, perhaps mechanics will advise to flush out only at longer intervals.... but if you go to other workshops, they might not want you to waste money and flush out at every servicing. Saaber Neutral Newbie January 8, 2003 Share January 8, 2003 regular flushing at every serving is good the the car, it helps to clear the carbon, varnish.....from the engine so that the engine will always operate at its optimum...better fuel consumption also.... ↡ Advertisement
