Hi,
My Mitsubishi EC will be reaching 5 years old soon, and I'm thinking of giving it a "refresh" by spray painting and fixing the minor dents and scratches. What's the ballpark damage for this, and any workshop recommendations?
Thanks!

My 1 year servicing is due soon. Any idea what is included in this, and what are the optional items?
Thanks.

Has anyone done the 10k servicing and can advise on the optional air con filter, anti bacterial spray and engine sludge maintenance? Don't want sh to just take the service personnel word

I suay park too in the parking lot in the multi carpark, everybody gets off and the car bounce back up, the top centre brake plastic kana press against the metal rod on TOP and crack. Need to replace it to cover up my mistake before my hubby back from overseas trip. Any Good recommendation workshop which can get it replace fast is very much appreciated.

Did all of you go for the 5000km tyre rotation? I have a decal that has this reminder. Is it recommended/required? Apparently it costs around $25 from C&C.

Should be able to see a bit, with the beeping warning sound, then they can correlate with the vehicle black box data.Yes backed up the video. But from the video itself canât really see the braking as it was like a 1 sec sudden brake.

Did you backup the video footage? They will need it.After abt 1 1/2 months of getting my EC, today I experienced the FCM activation of brakes. Car Infront was quite a distance away and suddenly auto brake. Lucky at that time my speed was quite slow and the car behind was not too close. Will highlight to C&C when I go servicing

Hello! R u in the Eclipse Cross FB grp or the WhatsApp group? There r a no. of EC owners who had experienced the auto e-brake for no apparent reason, including me. Scared me to death! Luckily no car right behind me else sure langa. Since then I always off it. But since I updated the FCM module during C&C recall service in Nov, no more mysterious jam brake so far.. Keep my fingers crossed

Well how i see it now is to either turn it off or drive slower, notice i havent been hitting pass 100kmph seem did not cause any false activation. It having recalled in the US, Australia and some parts of the world. Somehow SG no major news, but i heard a few here have gotten a letter from C and C to go down to reset the FCM.
If reportThen again C and C will say the same thing to everyone will report MMC Japan and looking for the issue and i am sure C and C and MMC knows it a major issue since there is a recall overseas. Maybe the number here are small so they arent taking quick or drastic action.
Not sure the sonar (front and back sensor) are link to FCM but sometime when stop even when there are clearly a safe distance the sonar beeps.
I now turn it off when I remember, but often I don't since it's not a habit yet. As for driving slower, not sure if it'll affect the rate of false positives. Another thing to note is to let cars that tailgate me overtake me, because if my car suddenly auto-brakes, they'll confirm langgar me.
The front and back sensors probably aren't linked to the FCM auto brake, since the FCM brake warning itself isn't even linked to the auto brake according to the C&C service personnel.
The more people reporting the problem (with actual video footage evidence), the more data MMC has to work with in order to identify and fix bugs and improve their algorithm. Otherwise, they might just sweep it under the rug until serious accidents occur.
The recall only affects cars that were programmed with an earlier FCM/ECU software version in factory, and the patch applied simply brings it to the most updated software version, which evidently does not fix the problem, since my vehicle was not affected by the recall, and I've been on the latest version since October.

My EC FCM auto braked twice over the last week, so I lodged a report at C&C over lunch today. Apparently only 1 other person reported FCM auto brake issue, and based on dashcam footage, it was resolved as a proper FCM activation. In my case however, I'm sure they're false positives. Unfortunately, I did not think to save the dashcam footage so they have been overwritten by now.
Service personnel indicated that they would report to MMC Japan, but due to the very few reports locally or even regionally, MMC Japan's response is very slow (3 months for the previous case).
I remember some other people have had the FCM auto brake activate. Did yall make reports? If not, please do, as this is a safety issue!

As with all tyre size changes, you have to calculate the overall diameter to make sure it's roughly identical, otherwise the speedometer won't be accurate.

Press it once then when you see the bird eye view press longer the car in SDA should blink.
Thanks! This worked! Finally match it when my car colour

Anyone having problems connecting to the T8 cam with the Android app?
-
Left side one of the button below the round volume button, hard to miss. Press it and your SDA will show the bird eye view plus usually the left side or front of the car
Yes after playing around a bit I figured it was this button. It shows the left side of the car when I press it while in R gear. However, I tried long pressing it, nothing happened leh. Do I have to be in some other gear?
-
Silly question. Which is the camera button on the steering wheel?Random information those with the SDA did you all know you can change the colour of the birdeye view car colour by holding the camera button on the steering wheel (then it will blink), then quickly press to change the colour once the desired colour is selected long press it again to set it.

Wow thanks! Will try that later!
On a different note, does anyone have problems connecting to the T8 camera with the LogonT app on Android devices? It's hit and miss for me. My wife's Samsung Note 8 and my very old Nexus 5 works, but my Nexus 5X and Google Pixel keep showing "recording on standby" and sometimes the app crashes and returns me to the home screen after that.

Hi,
I’m new here.
This forum really has very useful information on the car. Thanks.
Sharing my experience with the car:
My FCM has problem since I got the car 3 month ago, on the straight road with no car the brake alert will also come out. I feedback to the service centre during my 1K servicing still tell me the sensor can detect car from afar

Did not change my Kenwood head unit but added an amp, sw & changed the front speakers c/w tweeters.. Already upgraded the sound quality by few notches.. Haha! :)
Changing speakers will yield the biggest difference, followed by amp. Head unit generally doesn't improve sound quality by much.
-
Actually what's bad about the dash cam?
I was also using a phone holder (those cheap free gift types that attach to the A/C vents) until I started using Android Auto, after which I just connected my device to the USB port and left it lying under the console.

Jus an update on the letter frm C&C I received.. There are 2 recalls: 1) For H/U Function interrupting due to ASC-ECU reset; and (2) For improper duration time of FCM Moderate Braking.. Any1 knows what H/U means? It was explained but not explicitly spelled out in fu in the letter.. Thx
Should be the hydraulic unit.

Oh in case you din know you need to unplug the camera from the connector/cable, then turn it (there should be an arrow) then pull it out even after that i think you need to install the soft ware before being able to view (i tried) and notice it wont read and too troublesome for me to install the software on my company laptop. Yeah troublesome, pretty disappointed considering its from Korea given the choice better to get 100-200 off the car and get a 3rd party camera installed.
IIRC, the Android app has the option to save the video files onto the device file system.

Everyone seems to experience it I always had it going thru bumps but just beep for a quick second. Anyway supposedly EC and Outlander due for recall in the USA and Australia due to FCM. But no news in Singapore yet.
Beeping is still ok, though it does startle the driver if he/she is not used to it. The first few times I encountered it, I was quite shocked.
Automatically engaging the emergency brakes without driver intervention in a non-emergency situation will increase the risk of being rear-ended by the vehicle behind you, which is dangerous and must be reported!
FYI, I emailed Mitsubishi Singapore directly after I read about the recall, and according to them, based on my VIN, my EC is apparently not affected by the recall, even though I do experience the FCM false warning sometimes. Also, during my 1000km servicing, a software update was applied, and ECU diagnostics ran, but it doesn't seem to improve the FCM false warning frequency.
-
Hi all, would like to check with other EC owners if you've experienced the same below;
My EC suddenly emergency braked itself for about half a second yesterday morning while driving on PIE, was not going very fast (maybe 40-50km/h) due to traffic, not very near to the car in front as well.
The yellow BRAKE warning from the FCM came on a few times before in the past (false alarm), but this is the first time the car actually activated the emergency brake by itself.
Downloaded the video from the LogOn dash cam into the app, but somehow it doesn't have the option to share the video outside of the iPhone app. Thought of taking out the SD card from the cam, but it's stuck pretty tightly to the mount. Fiddled with it for awhile and gave up. Hais.
Anyway, can't tell much from the video as the car was not going very fast plus surrounded by cars. Also the e-brake came on for only half a sec then disengaged.
Report this to Mitsubishi/Cycle & Carriage. You seem to be affected by the Mitsubishi recall I mentioned a few pages back.
I've also experienced the emergency brake warning many times, but it has never actually auto-braked by itself.
Recommendations for car respraying/fixing of minor scratches and dents

Thanks all for the recommendations. I'm quite new to all this, what is PPS and PDR?
Not looking for the cheapest, but just "bang for the buck". Something decent that would restore my car to it's past glory perhaps, prevent any potential rust from the scratches (probably unlikely as the scratches aren't that deep), and last for the next 5 years.
My car is parked both indoors and outdoors, but I would say outdoors more than indoors. It's washed about weekly, so it still looks OKish. In fact, after a good wash, from afar it still looks good. Just that upon closer look, can tell the scratches and dents some places (especially near the doors). Would touch up and detailing be able to achieve this, and what is the damage for that as well?
