Marvel Studios’ Phase Four of its Marvel Cinematic Universe will include 10 movies and Disney + series when it launches next year, with 2021 looking especially crowded. President Kevin Feige appeared at San Diego Comic-Con for Marvel’s 90-minute appearance in Hall H, where he gave a pretty lengthy update on Phase 4.

The Phase Four slate that Marvel unveiled includes the following: Black Widow (May 1st, 2020), Falcon and the Winter Soldier (Fall 2020), The Eternals (November 6th, 2020), Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (February 12, 2021), WandaVision (Spring 2021), Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness (May 7th, 2021), Loki (Spring 2021), What If...?(Summer 2021), Hawkeye (Fall 2021), and Thor: Love and Thunder (November 5th, 2021). Feige made a surprise announcement at the end saying that he didn’t have time to address where the Fantastic Four or X-Men would end up in the franchise, but that one additional project will be Blade, which will feature Mahershala Ali.

The next phase includes a mix of sequels, like Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness — to be directed by Scott Derrickson, which is described as the MCU’s first horror film, Thor: Love and Thunder, the fourth movie in the franchise, to be directed by Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi. Unlike the last several Marvel movies, however, Natalie Portman will play Thor this time around. There’s at least one prequel, too — Black Widow, starring Scarlett Johansson in the titular role, one that she has been fighting to have for years. Rachel Weisz, Florence Pugh, and David Harbour will also star.

Other film projects will feature several new heroes: The Eternals and Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings. Like Guardians of the Galaxy, neither Shang-Chi or The Eternals are household names — but it looks as though Marvel Studios is hoping that they’ll have wide, mainstream appeal.

The Eternals centers on a group of beings known as Eternals who use their advanced skills to protect humans in the future. The comic book series, created by legendary creator Jack Kirby was, “one of many many many things that we are actively beginning to have creative discussions about,” Feige previously told Slash Film. Feige also confirmed that the movie will star Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek and Angelina Jolie.

Shang-Chi will focus on the titular character, Shang-Chi, who devotes his entire life to bringing down his father’s criminal empire. Feige confirmed at Comic-Con that The Mandarin, the villain who was supposed to appear in Iron Man 3 but ultimately did not, will appear for real this time in Shang-Chi. Marvel is working with director Destin Daniel Cretton on the project, best known for his critically acclaimed film Short Term 12. Simu Liu, best known for his work on Canadian comedy series, Kim’s Convenience, is set to play Shang-Chi.

But the Marvel Cinematic Universe isn’t just movies anymore — Disney’s forthcoming streaming service, Disney+, will feature several ongoing projects, like Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision, Loki, Hawkeye, and What If...?. Feige and his team went into some more detail about a couple of shows, including Loki. The show will follow the character after he escaped with the Tesseract in 2012 — something that only happened thanks to Avengers: Endgame. The version of Loki played by Hiddleston appears to be one that didn’t experience the events of several films, like Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame. The show will premiere on Disney+ in spring 2021.

Unlike the existing entries in the MCU, where there was a major divide between the film and television properties, it looks as though the stories will fit together closely, with projects like The Falcon and the Winter Soldier picking up after Avengers: Endgame, Hawkeye exploring some of the character’s time as Ronin, and with the events in WandaVision leading right into Doctor Strange 2. Feige and Disney CEO Bob Iger previously said the MCU films and Disney+ series would intertwine, and now we know how that looks. There’s a good chance other characters from all of the aforementioned series and films could intertwine in some way, too.

That will also extend to the Disney + show What If...?, a non-canon, animated series that presents alternate takes on the existing MCU, like what if Loki had found the hammer of Thor? The panel revealed that numerous MCU actors will reprise their roles for these alternate takes.

The Phase 4 slate answers the immediate question about what comes after the franchise that culminated with Avengers: Endgame and Spider-man: Far From Home. Expect more information next month at Disney’s D23 conference.

There is even an opportunity for applicants with relevant past working experience to be appointed at a higher level, leading a team of butlers and performing other administrative and logistical duties.

In order to apply, applicants must be Singapore citizens, and if successful, will be offered a one or two year contract in the first instance.

New rules set to be laid down next month stipulate that private-hire vehicle drivers must be Singapore citizens who are at least 30 years old.

This comes amidst discussions between the National Taxi Association and National Private Hire Vehicles Associations.

One of the key concerns prompting the proposed rule is the problem of youths taking to driving private-hire vehicles full-time.

As of February 2019, there are 41,000 registered PHV drivers, of which 40 percent of them are under 40 years old. Over

6500 of them are below 30 years old.

However, the data does not include non-registered PHV drivers who operate “hitch” services. Hitch drivers are allowed to only make 2 ride-sharing trips a day, however many are known to take on more rides across different ride-sharing operators.

The NTA and NPHV are also in discussion about issues such as contracts between transport operators and drivers, drivers’ insurance and the issue of whether PHV can do roadside pick-ups.

The result of these talks will be announced next month.

Been noticing this KF Seetoh giving more and more ridiculous suggestions. This is the PAP way style of offering solutions to crowd control, fixing congestions. Look at the newly opened Jewel. In order to "control crowd" you are expected to pay up to SGD 56 if you want to go 4 of the paid attractions. There are other ways to limit crowd. Reserving free ticket online first come first serve blahhhhhh. Then now there's peak period surcharge for hawker centres. Many of these people who patronize hawkers during lunch time even in CBDs are also people who are just drawing a decent salary just like you and me. Why punish these people? Founder of Makansutra? Super out of touch with the average Singaporean. No doubt overhead very high for hawkers. In fact I think they pay a darn ridiculous price just for rental, cleaning etc... KF Seetoh should campaign for lowering rental costs for hawkers instead of penalizing the consumers. 

 

There's peak hour surcharge fr taxi rides, surge pricing for ride hails, there's even surge pricing now for food deliveries plus of course the means testing pricing policy in hospitals...(is there peak hour charges at MRTs, since they also introduced cheaper pre peak hour rides)

At a recent official workgroup discussion with hawkers, they spoke about how they wish society can allow them to charge a little more to reflect higher cost of everything these days, among other dreamlist wishes. A far cry from the rules that they sell dishes at or below $3 all the time, set by these social enterprise run hawker centre mngmt folks.

So here's my suggestion..peak hour prices at hawker centres. They charge the top tier prices from 11.45am-2.15pm. But a fat discount for off peak hours and a clear stock reduction price an hour before they close. So the budget conscious and the cheapos can have their field day. It can also introduce a spilt lunch hour policy or choice in offices (tapau before 1145am and eat in office lor). Think about it. Hawkers like you,too, need to make fair monies for their families, like you seeking a fair salary raise for all your hard work.

While waiting for his car's petrol tank to be filled at a station in Johor, the driver of a Singapore-registered gold BMW 320i switched his licence plates to that registered to a Hyundai car before speeding on a Malaysian highway. The incident on May 18 has prompted an investigation by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) which told The Straits Times that the owner of the Hyundai vehicle has filed a report with the authority. It happened around 7.30am at a Petron station in Gelang Patah, Johor, about a 10-minute drive from the Tuas Checkpoint.

The male driver was seen switching the original licence plate SLX27E to one bearing the registration number SKD2777C. A check on the LTA's One Motoring website showed that the other number belongs to a Hyundai Elantra. The BMW was caught speeding on a Malaysian highway about an hour after switching the plates. But the RM150 (S$49) summons was issued to the Hyundai vehicle instead.

Measures to make sure bazaar Malay enough

To ensure costs do not go overboard and the traditional feel of the event is maintained this year, some measures are being implemented. This was after taking into account feedback from the ground, where the sentiment has been that the bazaar has deviated too much from the past and it was not nostalgic enough the past few years.

Im chinese but i enjoy going to geylang serai bazaar for the festivity during ramadan. i dunno since when the bazaar seems to have lost itself with trying to stay relevant and attract the young crowd --- Reads 'earn money, rake up rentals'. Past few years at least hipster food and drink were everywhere. im too glad that finally the organisers are doing something bout it thou rental capped at 14k by no means is low. Starting this thread for the bazaar food updates in May.

Non-edible items must be majority Malay

Some 80 percent of non-food stalls will sell goods associated with the festive season, while 20 percent will offer other lifestyle items.

This is to ensure most of the stalls in this year’s edition will sell traditional goods related to Hari Raya and the Malay culture.

Food suitable for Muslim visitors

All food sold at the upcoming bazaar must be suitable for Muslim visitors.

The stalls have to be Muslim-owned, certified halal by the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS) or fulfil a halal criteria set by consultants engaged by the bazaar organisers.

Owners are responsible for ensuring that the products are halal.

Halal consultants will have the credentials to say the stalls meet the requirements, and they will work with smaller food stalls to ensure compliance.

The consultants will also conduct frequent checks on the stalls to ensure that they continue to comply with the halal requirements for the duration of the bazaar.

SINGAPORE - Seven months after he visited Singapore, popular video blogger Nas Daily is moving to the island.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday (March 20), his girlfriend Alyne Tamir announced that she and the blogger, whose real name is Mr Nuseir Yassin, will be moving to the Republic in the future.

Their stay could be "two months or two years", she said.

In her post, she said: "Singapore is the hub of Asia, and arguably a major hub of the world."

It is why Mr Yassin is moving his company to the Republic, she added.

The Nas Daily Company is currently based in the United States.

Mr Yassin, a 27-year-old Palestinian-Israeli, was initially more coy about the move on his own social media platforms.

On Wednesday, he posted an Instagram story featuring an article which highlighted the most expensive cities in the world for expatriates to live in, according to a survey released by the Economist Intelligence Unit.

In his Instagram story, he wrote: "Most expensive city: Singapore! (See you next month)".

In response to queries from The Straits Times over e-mail, Mr Yassin confirmed that he was moving to Singapore in April.

He added that no arrangements have been made for his move, but the timing is to ensure "enough time to get the legalities out of the way".

Hi.. Euror owners here. I Received Takata airbag recall letter from Jack Cars in november last year. Some background info. got this car about 1 year ago from direct owner off sgcarmart. this car is 10 years old. coe renewed last november. am unfamiliar with this as i am a first time car owner so pls pardon me if i ask some stupid questions or "common sense" ones.
