  1. Around my work area (GL), i see many malaysian vans who are clearly here to work. The vans are full of tools, machinery and equipment including ladders, etc. The driver and passenger are clearly workers. They are here everyday and i believe even overnight (cos there are some hostels/quarters near my area so i see them coming back from work and next morning they come out and drive off to work). If they are on work permit, are they allowed to drive Malaysian registered vehicles? I believe that any one with any kind of long term pass (student pass, work pass, etc) cannot drive Malaysian registered cars in singapore. If they are on social pass then they are working illegally.
