    Just bought a laptop. The OEM gave 3Gb of DDR2 667MHz SODIMM RAM. I just read that to fully utilize the DDR2 effect I must have identical pair. So then, I just realise that kenna bluff by this OEM again. So yesterday open the ram cover, remove the 1Gb and slot in a new 2Gb RAM that I bought from Sim Lim. Then I realise that the brands are different though they are same 667MHz. Can I ask for advice if it is necessary to have both rams of from the same brand?
