  1. Long time never start a thread liao.....really buay tahan already ....been to the meetup quite a few times already and I do hear from most of the guys always thirst of power.....listening to feedbacks on different products ...blah blah blah..... So like to kick off this thread by sharing some of my personal knowledge about car performace..... paisay if i'm not quite right....and pls don't shoot me hor Every car owners always desire for higher power, more bhp but some always like to ask as well, can save petrol or not??? The truth is when u want power, you can never think about fuel consumption (which i ever mentioned in some other threads before)....and so what is all about this power....Power is about the ponies in your car (brake horse power) it is the rotational force available at the delivery point of the engine (at the engine crankshaft, also call drver shaft developing the corresponding power driving your car to high speed. this is call bhp) Ultimately, the more bhp u have....the higher speed u can go, but that will also have to depends on alot of other factors (such as gear ratio) Another important factor is torque....i would say most of the driver are more keen on this torque than bhp...it is about the amount of force your car acquire to either push/ pull your car depending on your type of make (Front Engine Front Drive/Front Engine Rear Drive/Mid Engine Rear Drive) As we know that Singapore is a very tiny island....so driving in SG is really a challenging thing with so many "christmas light" (red/ amber/ green) so no point thinking abt speed liao....however, if got a lot of torque in the car....different story liao....but still bhp are in correlation with torque....So if u wanna have performance, please do know what u are gaining I shall rest my thread here cos tired liao....but i will try to post more if i can make it lah ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
