  1. Jul 28, 2010 Swee Say takes on Zorro By Carolyn Quek DISGUISED as the legendary folk hero Zorro, Minister Lim Swee Say made a surprise appearance at Singhealth's Nurses' Day celebrations on Wednesday afternoon. Held on the grounds of the Singapore General Hospital, the annual celebration honoured over 7,000 nurses who work in the various institutions under the Singhealth Group. The theme for this year's celebrations was Movie Magic, and Mr Lim was flanked by an entourage of movie characters like the Storm Troopers and Batman as he handed out roses to the nurses there. This is not the first time Mr Lim has dressed up for the event. Two years ago, he came as a trishaw rider. Mr Lim, Minister in the Prime Minister's Office and the NTUC secretary-general, also launched a $100,000 community project initiated by Singhealth and the Healthcare Services Employees Union. The money will benefit needy patients who cannot afford items such as diapers, wheelchairs or walking frames after they are discharged from hospital. ------------------------------------- "to avenge the helpless, to punish cruel politicians and to aid the oppressed"
