World-class precision driver Russ Swift will be in Singapore, on Friday, 5th November, to add to the highlights of the Mettle Games 2010. Here to enthrall motoring fans and enthusiasts, till Sunday 7th November, Swift will demonstrate his award-winning stunts and driving skills at the F1 Pit Building in Marina Bay.

Russ Swift is the holder of three Guinness World Records for making ten complete spins with a car in 16.07 seconds, parallel parking and J-turn. Swift currently holds an unbeaten record for the Parallel Parking manoueuvre which has remained his "trademark" to this day. The two-time British Autofest Champion and England's Autotest Team Captain in 1982 and 1983 is noted for his skill in parking in a space just 33cm longer than a car. In 2004, he set a Guinness World Record for making 10 complete spins or "doughnuts" in just 16.07 seconds, which translates to a mere 1.6 seconds for each complete spin.

Ryuji Miki is an experienced racing and drifting champion from Tottori Prefecture, Japan. His outstanding achievements include 2008 Formula Drift Singapore Champion and 2009 Formula Drift Las Vegas, USA Podium. SPARK Motorsports is proud to be the sponsor of Ryuji Miki, one of the world top ten drifters. The commonalities between SPARK Motorsports and Ryuji Miki are their passion for motorsports and their devotion in promoting motorsports in Asia. All thanks to SPARK Motorsports, Ryuji Miki will be performing a drift demo in the Mettle Games during November 2010. We believe this will add much excitement to the whole event

As for our local delight, Drift Princess, studied Automotive Engineering whiles in school and it was here that her love for cars and all things fast developed. Her passion for drifting was ignited when her teacher and mentor Lim Kim Wan aka D-Wan aka Drift King took her under his wings and taught her the finer points of drifting.

She first joined the Toyo Drift Team in 2007 and has since won many accolades like Best New Drifter and Best Novice Awards from the various competitions that she has taken part it. For a female drifter in a male dominated sport, Ashley

  • Tennis: Beautiful game that doesn't know how to count

Wimbledon just concluded yesterday (congrats Sinner!), and it's a reminder of how much I enjoy tennis as a sport. I used to play it some (wasn't particularly good), and still tangentially follow it nowadays (the Roland Garros final this year between Alcaraz and Sinner is an all-time classic).  There's something intrinsically mesmerising about the sport, I think even for spectators who have never picked up a racquet. At first glance, it may seem like just two people (or four, but doubles is

    Musings about the Pomodoro Method

In a hyper-connected mega-city, where time seems to tick at a relentlessly brisk pace and where distractions are aplenty, pondering the art of productivity and focus is inevitable. Cordless vacuum cleaners: A young adult's best friend?

Every young adult probably arrives at the same point when they’ve started working for a few years: Household chores start to become more enjoyable. Don’t get me wrong – they don’t have to be one’s favourite activity on earth. But chores start to make sense: An environment that’s put-together is always a welcome haven, whether it’s returning home after a long day out, or simply staying in over the weekend (or when you’re working from home.) As a young adult myself, I've come to appreciate an
