Avh-P8450BT reads only DIVX H.264, and not on others converter.

If you look at my previous post, DIVX H.264 does a bad job as compared with Anyvideoconverter & AVS using MPEG4.

But the fact is H.264 is suppose to be better quality and smaller file size than MPEG4.

What I am trying to say is, the best video quality that 8450 can support is just MPEG4.

Wanna make a bet on some dim sum that Avh-P8450BT Do reads H.264 from other converter. With all due respect, it works also for the files that are converted using Xilisoft into H.264/AVC. And H.264 is an extension of MPEG4. According to my personal testing, H.264 produces the better outcome as compared to MPEG4 using Xilisoft. Perhaps I can send you the files that I have tested with?

Now if we used conventional MPEG4, the highest resolution based on ASP/L5 is 720x576. So based on that vs my 1280x720p H.264 both playing SNSD-Oh, it is obvious the difference in quality.

And question I have is, why don't you convert it in 1280x720? If you need xilisoft, let me know aye?

Anyway, for Advanced App Mode, you need to have iPhone 4 or 4s, CD-IU201S. Then according to a Appradio manual that I found online, min iOS supported is 4.3 but US site says that it is 5.1.

Now I just wish for more Apps :D

And Btw, my 720p video of Kara

Are you using xilosoft? I have tried AVS and Anyconverter on H.264, 8450 doers not support them. If you have done it in Xilosoft, that means it is a good news.

As I have mentioned on my previous post, H.264 is better than MPEG4. I will try Xilosoft tomorrow and compare the results; I hope it will not be like DIVX converter H.264 quality.

I was ripping & converting 1280x720 for a movie to my SDHC card. It is part of an experiment converting the best quality for XHD movies into SDHC.

sorry was interrupted by a phone call.

to continue from my previous posting..

I have tried ripping movies and converting them to high resolution, but it did not work. I will try again with Xilisoft.

If Xilisoft works better than AVS, I will ask for AVS refund and get Xilisoft.

ya, I like dim sum too. Lets bet on dim sum on AVS vs Xilisoft output quality.

do note that iPod Touch 4th gen works with Appradio too (=

thanks for the info.

I have just tried it on my itouch and it works!

But for navigation, I will just use my iphone rather than hotspot my itouch.

Anyway, can use itouch for Pioneer music apps on my second connection.

Yes, I am using Xilisoft for my conversion, tried the different version of h.264, whether it is h.264-youtube HD or hi264 HD Mpeg4. Both seems to be working great, but I think they have a recommended max bitrate of 8mbps. But I did not use SD card to test, I just use a normal thumbdrive to playback.

Yeah, i was reading your previous post, and I was quite surprise by the conversion result....perhaps if you don't mind, I can pass you some MTV that I convert and you can try. I can upload it to skydrive.

AVS Pro MPEG4, 720x405 frames with 4665 bitrate ->below:

Xilisoft Ultimate H.264, HD720(HD Video) with high settings on video & audio quality at 12000 bitrate->below:

Okay, the great news is... Xanxus is correct! Xilisoft H.264 can be read by SDHC on AVH-P8450BT.

Image quality is up to you to judge.

Specs. for these conversion is: i7, 8gb ram, HD Radeon 6770M, with laptop cooler 'U stand' and HWmonitor.

There is one more thing to solve is that Xilisoft lag on SDHC class 10 badly, I will test on another SDHC card and USB thumbdrive next time.

Somemore captures for Xilisoft(H.264) and AVS(MPEG4).

Xilisoft(H.264) below:

AVS MPEG4 below:

That's all for this week.. thank you for reading... time to play Xbox

Thanks alot Hachi, The Boys is great but the intro is very long! Well, now I have just newly added this MTV:

But warning, playing their MTV can be hazardous to the driver and those next to him

And btw, I tried various bitrate and realize that the smoothest is usually at 8mbps

Mixtrax on sale. 99c instead of $1.99.

Thanks for the update, already bought it before :(

Just my update opinion on Aupeo and Pandora.

I have been using both radio station and I find that though Pandora has better selection process on songs than Aupeo, but Aupeo syn better than Pandora.

Pandora has a bug that doesn't changes it images(CD cover) once you skip track.

As for settings update...

I have turn off both AV input and AUX input. I had my iphone connected to CDIU201S(cable coming out from front dash) and my itouch/thumbdrive connected to CDIU201V(extended cable inside glove compartment).

not sure if worth the price and how much connectivity there is really. how did yours turn out? looks like now they have more apps that are compatible. apart from the mixtrax.. there is a navigation tool called Navgate drive that helps u dl maps fr around SEA. also quite a few music apps to go along with it.

Found this video (looks like a phone ad actually):

wondering when android compatibility will come about though.

You bought another USB cable? I did ask Wee Heng but they said Pioneer SG is not selling so I can't install 2 cables. I am reluctant to use regular USB extension designed for PC as it didn't not go through climate testing based on in car temperature.. Any idea I can get the same cable that comes with the unit?

My findings on AppRadio: Generally good, too bad the map does not support north-oriented navigation; makes it kind of awkward when travelling south. :(
