Honda debuts its all-new Step WGN MPV in Japan

blogentry-133713-0-12498100-1429804060_thumb.jpgHonda has revealed the all-new Step WGN MPV(Multi Purpose Vehicle) in Japan ahead of its introduction and will be powered by an all-new turbocharged engine. While the new MPV has quite a few new standout features, the most important and interesting news for Honda fans worldwide is the brand new 1.5-litre direct injection VTEC Turbo engine.

blogentry-133713-0-66129400-1429804129_thumb.jpgProducing 148bhp and 203Nm of torque between 1,600rpm and 5,000rpm, the new Step WGN is claimed to be about to do 17km/L according to Japan's JC08 cycle. Offered in both front-wheel and all-wheel drive variants, the new engine is mated to a CVT transmission.

It can either function either as a wide tailgate that opens up or as a sub-door that opens to the side. Besides that, it is also equipped with driver assist systems that uses radar to detect pedestrians and prevent collision.
