Check out the Hovding airbag helmet system which can help those who commute on two wheels minimize injuries when involved in a accident. Research for the system, which is basically a helmet made out of airbag that pops up when needed, debuted in 2005, but it only came to market around 2013. It isn't exactly affordable at more than S$500 though.

 

Let us know whether you would get one or rather just stick to using a helmet.
