Deathsythe Neutral Newbie August 30, 2005 Share August 30, 2005 Been thinking abt getting an Altis but it cost more. In practical sense, Vios and Lancer would be more affordable for a first time car owner. But torn between this 2 models. Hope someone will list the pros and cons for each car. Test drive both the car and find them good in their own way. Thks ↡ Advertisement
Decibel Neutral Newbie August 30, 2005 Share August 30, 2005 (edited) I prefer the Vios. Faster, cheaper? and better FC which is important nowadays. Though rear abit cramped. Edited August 30, 2005 by Decibel
Reliable Clutched August 30, 2005 Share August 30, 2005 Vioswill be better in terms of FC, Speed and spare parts is cheaper and more. But if at high speed it is too light and have floating feeling. Have to slight mod for safety. Lancer - Nicer in design. more stable at high end. But FC is not good and pick up slower than vios. spare part is slightly more exp than vios. personally i will go for vios. FC is impt nowadays. and pickup speed will be good. torque not that impt cause hardly go into malaysia and seldom travel more than 140km/h

Kanchelsk 2nd Gear August 31, 2005 Share August 31, 2005 (edited) hey i'm currently also considering this 2 model... but heard that Vios FC better then lancer... the pickup faster and more power... lancer cost slightly 2k more then the vios... cabins space lancer is much bigger then vios... last week i went enquire bout the Vios stock... left black/mica red... while lancer have immediate stock... Wolverine Neutral Newbie August 31, 2005 Share August 31, 2005 TOM YUM GOONG: Cheap, Spicy, Authetic "village" taste but might give you a stomach ache, Lau sai, and you will sweat eating it... YAKINIKU: Premium food, Looks really presentable, high class utensils, but sashimi is an acquired taste, air conditioned restaurant
Osiris 1st Gear August 31, 2005 Share August 31, 2005 IMHO, very easy to decide. 1) Do you need bigger cabin space? Yes -> Lancer. 2) Are you FC conscience? Yes -> Vios 3) Wanna save a bit road tax? -> Vios 4) Do you care about built quality? - Vios Emotionally, I like the lancer over the vios. It's like choosing a super model over a plain jane. Rationally, I will not choose the lancer despite liking it so much cos of higher cause of concern for its quality. Made in Thailand a cause for concern? Well, it's less risk then getting a mitsubishi. It doesn't matter when its made in japan if it
Jazz 2nd Gear August 31, 2005 Share August 31, 2005 4) Do you care about built quality? - Vios Hmm ..... I not quite agreed on this point.

Deathsythe Neutral Newbie September 1, 2005 Author Share September 1, 2005 I find that the cabin space for the rear is quite small. After putting the baby car at most can sit one more person. If need to pick up my parents would be a problem. That's y still considering Lancer
Czchome Neutral Newbie September 1, 2005 Share September 1, 2005 (edited) Get the Lancer cos it build quality is way better than Vios and cabin space is much better too. Edited September 1, 2005 by Czchome
