DIY can save u probably 50% of the money paid for a commercial one.

Whoever knows electronics...take a look inside the commercial VS and u will know...

Do not be surprised if u see one 16V cap in VS, which i m not comfortable with as u won't know when will the alternator fluatuates beyond 16V that may blow up the cap.

To me..safety always come first

Actually it help.

 

But depend on the brand. Some car have better effect on certain brand. but generally it help. But 1 brand that i know have the biggest effect is HVS. I tried pivot, HVS, Z-stab etc.etc.etc.

 

Still think HVS is the best. Driving Corolla G9.

Diff spec give u diff feel mah.

And my DiyVS r bigger then a CD cover n full of Cap n ....... n ....... n .....Secret

hiz... i'm using the buddy club rs condenser...

 

can't comment on power increase cos when i installed, there was idling problems and i changed the intake.

 

but the idling seems slllliiigghtly smoother, the lights don't flicker as much. but that's about all.. mine's a manual so.. maybe for auto will see more improvement?

 

felt kinda like i over paid cos i got it at $230 that time, and the pivot razin with grounding was so much cheaper.. ($180?).

 

anyway it came ith 3 pt grounding wires with 'gold plated' ends.. quality was quite gd.. made in japan as so stated on the box.

yes...with 3 pts grounding..one on the alternator, one at the engine...and one on the car chasis
