Putter Neutral Newbie September 6, 2005 Share September 6, 2005 Hi - anyone has tried installed the device on a octavia. If so, what is the result? you may want to read in the following thread...pity Jonathan for being back-stab by his partner. I read couples of users pretty happy with the product, including 1 of my closed friend. I am also tempted to try... http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/General_C1...aga..._P1033657
Soleution Neutral Newbie September 7, 2005 Share September 7, 2005 Hi - anyone has tried installed the device on a octavia. If so, what is the result? I have mine installed in my superb, smoother engine, 1st to/and 2nd gear sluggish effect gone, corning pickup better with the ez-stab, I think it work better with the auto than manual, I believe the device removing/reduce the stress on the engine, thus can feel better performance, but make sure get the right one not the con one

Kahlid Neutral Newbie September 7, 2005 Author Share September 7, 2005 how does it work on the FC after installing the z-stab?
Dwoon 1st Gear September 7, 2005 Share September 7, 2005 Bro, does the Superb comes with TC? If so, what's the effect at high loads. APpreciate your feedback. Thanks
Soleution Neutral Newbie September 7, 2005 Share September 7, 2005 No record on the FC yet, but the claim of 5-10% saving should be there, as no more heavy foot due to the feel of the engine is lighter, do not feel the need to rev or push the engine especially after a cornering, do notice that for my car to reach 100km/h(highway cruising), the rpm is now only 2000, before installation is about 2100-2200, hope that the answer you want. Soleution Neutral Newbie September 7, 2005 Share September 7, 2005 Yes, Superb come with TC, but I think when you are in high loads the alternator cut in and no longer using the battery, the ez-stab basically work as a regulator, it regulate voltage in your car, especially with nowaday all car run by ECU, auto transmission, sensor, air-con, ICE etc. A stable current/voltage do wake up the car, any one tried on a manual car??? Dwoon 1st Gear September 7, 2005 Share September 7, 2005 Thanks for the feedback. One more thing..... I understand that the new EZ-Stab comes with a switchable mode for either FC or for Power. Is yours that model? Is the switch on the box or can be relocated to the cabin. Cheers!
Soleution Neutral Newbie September 7, 2005 Share September 7, 2005 Ha, sorry bro, mine is only a black box with some light flicking on top, but hear from Jon there is going to be a generation 2, which you can control the knob in the car, but don't know what doneky year he going to develop such items, so get what he offer, but I sure can upgrade lah with a discount, when he is ready. First generation user mah! Sure must take care, right?
Soleution Neutral Newbie September 7, 2005 Share September 7, 2005 By the way, one more thing to note, are you driving a auto? the ez-stab do give a better response on gear shift, as you know, automatic transmission is alway have a slight delay when shifting gear and sometime refuse to up-shift or down-shift, I personally feel that the gear shift is smoother, and the slight delay is less notice, power gain, no dyno to prove so no commend. Still wondering anyone tried on a Skoda manual???
Dwoon 1st Gear September 7, 2005 Share September 7, 2005 (edited) Yes, I'm driving an auto. But I don't have erratic auto gear shifts during regular/normal driving. Only delay that occcurs is when I floor the pedal. That's when the rpm shoots up and a split second delay is required for the gears to lock before the car propels. I don't think the EZ-Stab can help much on that though. Thought of getting it more for the low rpm ranges, before the turbo kicks in about 2.2K rpm. Traffic jams are really killing me in petrol consumption which I hope to reduce. Edited September 7, 2005 by Dwoon
