Turbobrick Neutral Newbie January 23, 2003 Share January 23, 2003 I used it twice on my brick, not too bad. Nothing fancy, works without a hitch.
Esky Neutral Newbie January 24, 2003 Share January 24, 2003 Me very the interested in the performance of the Fuchs 0W-20 one!
Saabss Neutral Newbie January 24, 2003 Share January 24, 2003 (edited) It's definitly worth a try, performance wise better than the castrol SLX, a bit ex. Edited January 24, 2003 by Saabss
Diesel 1st Gear January 24, 2003 Share January 24, 2003 I'm currently using it on my G7, ok lah. Still preferred Mobil 50W... smooth & quiet
Turbobrick Neutral Newbie January 24, 2003 Share January 24, 2003 Donno about Fuch, but Ford in the US recommends 0W-20 for their newer cars to improve fuel economy (however, most of the times the weather here is cool/cold).
GDIzen Neutral Newbie January 24, 2003 Share January 24, 2003 (edited) "Me very the interested in the performance of the Fuchs 0W-20 one!" I tried the 0W20 and it felt not so smooth after 3000kms. I think the viscosity did not hold out as opposed to some other brands. or Maybe its just my german engine not being able to use such a weightage of oil... my $0.02 worth I'm on Mobil 1 0W40 now and it feels much smoother... Esky Neutral Newbie January 24, 2003 Share January 24, 2003 So how much did u pay for it? 0W-20 is definitely for engines in good condition, and tight tolerance. I once heard 1 guy driving a Satria GTi strongly recommending Repsol. He said the oil was still goldish in colour even after 10k km.
Saaber Neutral Newbie January 24, 2003 Share January 24, 2003 The oil is too thin for our hot temp here....

GDIzen Neutral Newbie January 24, 2003 Share January 24, 2003 Yup, agree, somehow it breaks down after repeated hot usage?
Jagash Neutral Newbie January 24, 2003 Share January 24, 2003 I think 0W20 is not suitable for use in Singapore due to the hot climate.
Unknown_G7 Neutral Newbie January 24, 2003 Author Share January 24, 2003 I'm currently using it on my G7, ok lah. Still preferred Mobil 50W... smooth & quiet So do you order it online? Are you currently using Fuchs 20W-50 or 15W-40? Mobil 20W-50 was more expensive than Fuchs 20W-50!
Unknown_G7 Neutral Newbie January 24, 2003 Author Share January 24, 2003 So it's just a normal engine oil

Turbobrick Neutral Newbie January 24, 2003 Share January 24, 2003 It's regular Synthetic oil I'll put it. Hard to gauge which oil is best as each car has it's own "reactions" to certain oils. Like my brick absolutely sucked with Shell Helix Ultra but Ferrari endorse leh Oils that worked for me are Esso Ultron, Mobil 1, AMSOIL, RP & Caltex Havoline. Right now I'm using Valvoline Maxlife (mineral oil) in my high mileage Taurus, so far so good.
Sky8807 1st Gear January 24, 2003 Share January 24, 2003 (edited) Currently Fuch oil is inside my engine. Already travelled more than 5000 km on it. My first time using this oil. Opinion is good. Also lots cheaper than mobil 1. I used shell, esso, caltex, mobil syn oil b4, even experiment with new tech syn oil, now is known as 0W-20 type, very thin like water. And my opinion is fuch is value for money. Edited January 24, 2003 by Sky8807 ↡ Advertisement
