You've got PM.

I think the limited colours are from the first shipment, if you are willing to wait I'm sure you should have more colour choices. The last I heard the next shipment is sometime in April.

at over 110K Passat is still a premium . [:(]

if $$$ is a concern, go for the Opel Vetra at only 92K or wait for the Ford Mondeo next year, both should offer as good handling, albeit less features. then again, do u need all the advanced features for a start?

Actually, it is very much a personal preference.

But build quality is much better then previous Passat. Still waiting for mine to come in.... Hopefully did not make the wrong choice. Will feedback to this community.

We own a B5.5 passat and we have zero problems with it. It is a powerful car and when u go on tiptronic, you have lots of power within ur control. I've seen alot on people criticising on the reliability of VW, however, maybe my family is lucky enough not to experience any of such reliability problems yet [lipsrsealed]. We just got a 2005 touareg added to our collection last november. It has 20kmileage on it and is free from any problems still. I've seen the 2.0FSI B6 passat and driven it. It's a great car but we're more interested in the 2.0TFSI =/ Btw, someone mentioned about getting an A4 for 110k, I don't think its possible, just went to showroom last weekend and was quoted 124k for the 2.0MU version.

VW cars are indeed reliable but they need to be driven daily. my uncle's passat is only driven once a week and as you know, parts tend to spoil easily when not used. but the build is awesome.

Waiting for your feedback; especially fuel consumption, ride quality & handling. The gadgets are fantastic. What are the sound system? Any complains?

I'd say, wait for the Jetta.

same 2.0FSI going for $102k... same golf5 PQ46 platform... and probably same equipment count or slightly less. Difference is, it's made in Mexico and its known as Golf with a boot.

But Jetta's boot is 500litres, bigger than passat's 475litres.

Barring the 5 days late delivery from after registration date,

and with only One Key ( 3 weeks and no idea whose fault, VW germany, VW singapore or???), :

Got a new replacement key only last week that CnC had to programme car in situ with hookup and control by VW main system in Germany??.. very unfriendly system but maybe for security..... lucky thing service adviser and workshop guys are a friendly bunch.

The car itself has been great, but with some minor gripes:

Fuel consumption improving from 13l/100km, to 11l/100km. Can feel engine running in smoothly, but a little motorboat sounding at low rpm.. Great low end and highway speed torque.

Antidazzle mirror dimmed in the day time on 2 occassions, but no real problem reset after engine off.

Left Side Mirror auto tilt for reverse parking remain tilted after driving forward 3 occasions.. not sure if it is due to too early key shut-off after parking...

Internal build quality almost Audi standard, every piece quite well made and installed. Have not done NS highway to test highspeed noise-.. but local road speed & condition is OK.

Sound system is acceptable, could use added amplifier or Dyna-sound

Dunlop tyres (instead of Turanza on test car) a little noisy but grippy. Wheels can look better with the 17" instead of 16" standard.

Paintwork (Deep Black 2T) top class but not the polishing that left swirl marks all over.

Will update after 5000km check.

I am very surprised at the fuel consumption as my previous passat Y2003 cannot achieve even 9 km/litre or 11 liter/100km; for 60% city & 40% highway driving, I can just managed 8.0 to 8.3 km per liter.

I trade in my Passat a year ago but at 90,000km servicing I was told it requires 3 days at teh workshop and expect to cough out $3000!!! Anyone has experienced this from Car & Cars before? Overall it is a great car.

The Jetta is not launched yet so where did you did the price $102K, I wonder. For $10K difference, wouldn't the Passat be more value for money? I expect leg-room in the Jetta to be a bit cramp!
