I was quote $550 for V-kool Mirage for my Civic

juz a question, if we install solar film (v-cool, rike-cool etc etc) on the rear windscreen, i heard we cannot turn on the de-mister as it will melt away the solar film. is it true?

If this happens, then a lot of people will complain...

$550?? so cheap meh!! usually they charge around $800 for sedans like civic, altis, sunny etc.. and after discount can get around $600 - $650. $550 is really cheap...where u got quote...

 

And yes you can turn on de-mister, good films like vkool, 3M would not melt

I paid $650 for my sunny..quite expensive...

 

that time 3M was very new to market, so vkool got no competitor but now 3M has started marketing aggressively and so vkool may have dropped price.

Actually I got a $400 lobang for V-kool, but it's not done by the "Official" V-kool companies. Guess that chap got a way to "smuggle" V-kool material out and install them privately. But decided not to go for it coz of the warranty.
