Super7 Turbocharged January 30, 2003 Share January 30, 2003 (edited) Hi Guys, My 3 weeks old Airtrek makes slight noise when i turn the steering wheel doing slow parking.......... it sounds quite 'consistent' and it's just a soft humming sound.... is this normal???........ the humming sound seems to come from the power steering system..........i didn't hear this humming sound in all my previous cars which were much older....... anything serious??? Turbobrick Neutral Newbie January 31, 2003 Share January 31, 2003 Usually clutch fluid is similar to brake fluid (lower visco hydraulic oil). As for your pwr steering, check the level and top it up if necessary. If it continues to moan then send it to C&C and request a pwr steering flush to rid of any air that may be trapped in the system. I get this moaning from the pump when I change the PS fluid in Luna (siphon and top up), after a minute the moan goes away when the air is purged out to the reservoir.
