Any bros out there ever tried to debadge the name of their rides? I thought of doing it but quite blur on how to go about it...do i just rip the lettering off?..Also, anyone know of any shop which can custom make similar font lettering to replace the debadged ones?...

use a thin string and run it thru the back.

btw, why debadge? it's not as if suddenly ppl will not recognise the ride. dizzy.gif

Lemme guess... our friend is driving a killer car and wants to smoke someone else unaware enough to challenge him... so change the badge to something else!

Let's see...

330i to 318i

Evo to Lancer

WRX to TS

LGT to Legacy

GTi to Golf

Type R to non-Type R

AMG to std Mercedes

ABT to std VW

etc...

Of course, those in the know will spot the subtle differences such as the spoiler, the size of the tyres, the exhaust types etc... but for those who challenge the weaker just by their badges... they're in for a rude shock! Heheheh! [sly]

Pour some soapy water over the badge.

Use a dental floss to slice it out slowly.

Use soapy water to rub off the leftover sticky. > MUST be damn patience!

i use dental floss to take out the wording slowly. The for the left over double side tap, u take a cloth and use lighter liquid fluid or u can buy from homefix 3M adehsive remover to apply on it. let it soak for about 5mins then u rub slowly. u will be able to remove them. 3M is a better product. cost about $7.

after removing. u can clay and wax that area. it will disappear slowly. unless u wanna go polish it.

Do not use lighter fluid as it may damage your paint. Use a cleaner wax or polish to remove the sticky residue.

Also, some badges uses two catch with holes through the car body. So you might not be able to use the string to remove the badge. Letterings like GLX, GLS, VVTI and REVO etc can use the string method.

You got to check properly first.

Get a hair dryer, heat up the area on and around the label, then use a line of dental flose and slowly slide up and down behind and lettering to seperate it from the metal body.

If it gets tough, blow hot air on it again until the whole thing comes off. Then use WD40 on a soft cloth and wipe away any glue residue.

Finish it off with car wax to protect the area.

Very simple, done it many times for friends.
