Whatever brand you decide in the end - do take into account what type of DVDs you wish to play.

 

If only playing commercially pressed DVDs all the players are OK - if considering burning your own either + or - formats or even R/Ws then I believe that only some of the China made brands can play those discs - the branded Alpine and Pioneers to the best of my knowledge (which is about half year old) cannot play the DVDs you burn at home.

 

China made brands 1-din with retractable LCDs costs about 2,000 - 3,000 yuan on the average - about SGD400 - 600.

 

Do also note that LTA has rules about LCDs which the driver has line of sight of whilst the car is in motion - they must be "off".

Hey Nesta, where did u get dat model from & wats da model again?? cant see from da picture.

Yeah da 2nd 1 is more better as da lcd is Touch screen plus wat i like is mute telephone & CCD camera input is great since i planned to install dat too. I have received price from them and it cost US350-US$400 dats about S$570.00-S$651. However they say dis model is out of stock for now & they will inform me when they hav da stock.

This is Koiboy here. Just wanna know ultimately which DVD HU are u getting.

Are u gonna get the LM model or the FORYOU Model? Personally I am interested in the

FORYOU model. If u are getting it, I can consider buying it together with u.

This seems like a good HU, if you are considering this, please let me know. Also where do you got this info, as in which website? Also are you looking at other DVD HU?
