Is there such a test to test the health status of rims ?

are you talking abt using some kind of equipment to detect any hairline crack on the rim and to perform stress test?? if yes, i dun think any tyre shops/distributors have such equipment. perhaps you can ask polys, ites and unis for assistance. approach mechanical department.
