Jusjazz Neutral Newbie February 6, 2006 Share February 6, 2006 Hi everyone, I`m planning to do I/H/E operations on my ride, but shes still under warranty. My question is will they( Kah motor ) void it if the serviceman found out during my routine servicing? ↡ Advertisement

BMW320i Neutral Newbie February 7, 2006 Share February 7, 2006 When you start modding, you can kiss you warranty goodbye. By the way IHE mods alone might cause your car to run slower than stock.

BMW320i Neutral Newbie February 10, 2006 Share February 10, 2006 (edited) MT or AT is fine. Its the ECU you should be concern with when it comes to IHE mods. By the way, just noticed your nick. If your driving a jazz, it does have lots of mods potential. A fairly modded Jazz is likely to be a notch slightly slower than stock WRX but with further mods, you shouldn't have any problems keeping up with it. Provided when your on the go, you keep your RPM needle on peak output range before the puny TD04 on the rex kicks in. Jusjazz Neutral Newbie February 10, 2006 Author Share February 10, 2006 Mine`s a jazz truely, but on idsi, not vtec version. No doubt certainly torquey during low gears, but on high gears( 3rd-5th ) always seems breathless & rpm rises slowly due to 8 valves only, and it seems theres no hope to turn the facts i think. I have a buddy whom his jazz( idsi ) have piggybacks, modified lightened flywheel & clutch, apexi pod, exhaust muffler but with cat & header intact( as for headers, no diff with aftermarkets for jazz ). His ride do really felt torquey in pickup, but on high gears/revs just dont make it( same like stock ). Is there any thing missing here or is it really the cat making problems? In fact, I really dont think so for jazz...
Normal_aspirated Clutched February 10, 2006 Share February 10, 2006 could it be due to rev rpm and speedo cut off limits?
Jusjazz Neutral Newbie February 10, 2006 Author Share February 10, 2006 (edited) Nope, it cut off @ 6.3k rpm( actual 6k rpm ) , and I`ve tried more than 170+km/hr with no encounter of speed cut( just I cut myself ) at NS highway( stock setup ), and thats due to some downslope assist or level roads. While climbing only slight uphill ahead, it drops from 170-140 max almost in few seconds . For info, jazz max torque @ 2.8k rpm, & thats why has good torque while driving city roads. Uncle N.A, what do you think? Anyway to change the fate of an idsi jazz( I mean its torque range )?? Can a long tube pod savage this, or ways to change the stock max torque rpm at higher levels???
