The Aero 8 is a new sports car which combines traditional Morgan design and build values with state-of-the-art, advanced aluminium chassis technology and the superb BMW V8 engine, comments Mr. Charles Morgan, Managing Director.

The Aero 8 is powered by a specially-developed 4.4-litre BMW V8 engine with VANOS variable inlet valve timing, which generates 286bhp and delivers acceleration from 0-100kph in under 5 seconds. An innovative Morgan-designed suspension system coupled with a low centre of gravity, a race-bred braking system, and a highly developed aerodynamic shape ensure unsurpassed road holding, stability and handling. And with a gross weight of around 1000kgs, the Aero 8 has one of the best power-to-weight ratios of any production sports car.

Morgan Motor Company has recently secured European Whole Vehicle Type Approval for the two-seater, after it was subjected to 47 rigorous tests covering key areas including active and passive safety features, environmental issues, and driveability. The approval means that Morgan customers can now legally register new Aero 8s anywhere in Europe.

The Aero 8 will be available in over 30,000 body colours and the Connolly leather trim comes in a choice of over 40 colours.

600 orders have already been placed for the hand-built supercar, which is currently entering full production at the company's Malvern factory. A brand new manufacturing facility dedicated to the new car is nearing completion.
