Ahbengdriver 6th Gear March 14, 2006 Share March 14, 2006 (edited) swirl marks will reappear even if filled n polished, if the protective matter is removed over time. that is because yr foundation in thepaint is already destroyed. Thats why if u have a new car u should if u value yr paintwork have it protected with PPS as soon as possible. Also, never use machine to polish yr car...cos thats where swirl marks come from. A tiny speck of sand for eg will leave behind circles n circles of scratches. thats why I stay out of such polishers no matter how cheap it is compared to hand polish only ones. Currently am using MENSERNA PPS, got it done by Studio-12 at AMK autopoint. ask them for advice, they are really good n can restore yr paintwork, but whether or how long the swirl marks reappear i dont know as i havent used them long enuf to comment. I have posted before on their work, they DO NOT USE Machine to polish, only hands. Edited March 14, 2006 by Ahbengdriver

Vtec78 Neutral Newbie March 15, 2006 Share March 15, 2006 i believe u never try machine polishing urself tat y u said tat.....to restore a car to almost 100% condition, u need a machine. i dare to say this cos i tried both hand n machine polishing. with the right tool, pads, n polish, u can have a paint without swirls n scratches and not forgetting the shine which will leave ur jaws wide open~
Honda06 Neutral Newbie March 15, 2006 Share March 15, 2006 Hi Bro VTEC78, Can ask you a question, my car is only 3mth old. but work place alot of dust and beside a construction side. So its like every day will be dusty. Then slowly found out that the surface of my car is like very rough feeling. Cant even wash away with car shampoo. seems like very fine particles have "eaten" into the paint. And i must like use finger nails to scratch it out. now its like the whole top + bonnet + boot + windscreen is having this sand paper feeling. Can advise on how to get this off? Is using claybar the right choice? cos I scare scratch the whole paint work. now the paint still shinny jus that feels rough.
