very handsome, smart looking small car with grown up look. First saw this in this month's Motoring Magazine.

The Interior has improved leaps and bound over the current one which is hard and plasticky. Looks pretty much European.

Right into Kia Rio, Vios, Verna's Turf. From the look of it now, it is best looking among them.

Looks like previous Opel Astra saloon.

Looks great but will be great disappointment if its another heavy weight affecting fuel economy.

Neutral Newbie

Was testing the Aveo5 hatchback last nite at Ubi and saw the new aveo sedan. Was offered a test drive but I decline. Also told that it has the same engine as old aveo but is now more than 100kgs heavier. Can't help the fuel consumption any. Have to agree it does look much better now than the old sedan which was very stubby looking because it was too narrow. The new model looks better cause they widen it. Is it good value at $46K for manual and $49K for auto. With COE thrown in, driver airbag and ABS sounds like pretty good value if U can afford it.

However, a bit over my budget as 40K tops with COE is what I am looking at. Personally I like the colour and look of the yellow aveo5 hatchback, but at $44K too EX for my taste.

Actually should not use 1.4L engine. Must bring it up to 1.6L and the Optra up to 1.8L Look at what happened to the Honda line up. City become 1.5L iDSI or VTEC, Civic become 2.0L.

Optra5 should become 2.0L sporty model with manual transmission.
