Not that great on the specs. SL rated and ACEA A3-96 (obsolete) and MB 229.1 only.

Now, at least meet ACEA A3-02 if you are looking for that rating for Conti cars. Usually this will come with MB 229.3 or VW 502-02. For Japanese and Pacific Rim cars, ILSAC GF4.

 

ACEA A3-02, MB 229.3 and VW 502-02 usually in 5W40 and above. Some European formulation 0W30 meet this like Castrol SLX-A3.

 

ILSAC GF4 is usually 10W30 and below. Some 0W40 meet ILSAC GF4 like Mobil 1 Gold 0W40.

 

Finally API SL at least. Now is API SM.

cxxxxxe 5W40 got MB 229.3 and VW 502-02 leh! This means the oil is confirm ACEA A3-02 rated. No GF4 rating but is API SL.

Don't pay more than $16 for 4L. FYI, you can get Toyota Genuine Motor Oil 10W30 for $16/4L.

The shops at Alexandra Village and of course there is Ric Tat at Owen Rd. Honda Genuine Motor Oil 10W30 can also be bought at $16/4L. A lot of people believe both are blended and packaged by Idemitsu Singapore.
