Onyx60 Neutral Newbie February 28, 2003 Author Share February 28, 2003 Hi Saaber yes i know T5 is a HPT but mine is LPT...so im saying is there anyway to make my LPT become an ala T5?? I dont think that changing the ECU alone is enough rite? I need more power like the T5
Saaber Neutral Newbie February 28, 2003 Share February 28, 2003 With the ECU and filter upgrade, you can get abt 225hp, but for more you will need to change turbocharger, fuel injectors and exhaust system...... You can check here for more info: http://www.rica.nl/index.php?phmu=15&psmu=77&pctt=72 http://www.bsrab.se/se/start_prod.html

Turbobrick Neutral Newbie February 28, 2003 Share February 28, 2003 Swapping the turbo from LPT to HPT is a tedious process, have to consider compression, ECU programming, fuel injector size, fuel pump capabilities, etc. Even for the Swedes to do turbo stage mods, they usually upsize the LPT turbos to bigger LPTs or HPT to huge HPTs. Practically, cheaper to sell your LPT and upgrade to HPT (safer too)
Onyx60 Neutral Newbie March 3, 2003 Author Share March 3, 2003 wow...selling my car is definitely not an option coz i just bought it! guess ill have to juz live with it and do all the necessary mods...one by one...
Turbobrick Neutral Newbie March 3, 2003 Share March 3, 2003 Well, for starters look into an ECU plus exhaust system. That'll bump up the bhp by 20-35 easily (just by increasing boost). The ECU will increase the boost and fuelling and the exhaust helps keep the turbo cool.
Saaber Neutral Newbie March 3, 2003 Share March 3, 2003 Stage 1 ECU + air filter for the S60 2.0T from BSR will raise HP to 225Hp..... ....pretty good for city and highway driving liao....anything more, will cost a lot more $$$$$ ...

Onyx60 Neutral Newbie March 4, 2003 Author Share March 4, 2003 Which is the best ECU upgrade for the s60? ever since i upgraded the ECU on my RX-7, i have been very skeptical ever since abt all these chips/boards mods... the idling of my efini was horrible! its like its got a mind of its own! it either over revs or fringing on stalling...depending on its mood! only after some hard driving..im then able to tame it down...very unreliable... hope the volvo one is not like this? i need a reliable n dependable ECU that feels like stock during idling?
