cuz my cousin also encountered some problem. lets see, no. plate drop, rust on wheel nuts, battery flat and tyre punctured/deflated?

It's the one from Aljunied. Still waiting for his call, he said that there's a delay in shipping andcustoms clearance. Car will arrive next week. I will see how it goes but after reading the comments in the forum, I see whether he will give the same excuses. Will update you guys.

im from a reputable PI that someone here has strongly recommended but will be neutral here.

 

in my honest opinion, i will say that they aren't going thru with your paperwork and most probably can consider your $500 lost or unless you bang table..

 

but no worries, no other problem when you cancel because if were to cancel, the sales exec will take a % of the deposit.

 

so cheers, money makes the world go round. cancel it and get on with life.. or.. only lose more in the long run.

The most crap advice I have seen from a PI SE ....but I guess that is how the crappier PIs behaves .... just forget about the deposit ..it is only $500 or a $1K, after all it goes into a fund to keep the PIs and their fuc*ed-up SEs in business ...

 

Neutral SE? It is like saying, "Honest and transparent PI". Yupe ....he subsequently says " ...in my honest opinion..." Like the biggest warehouse PI that has already close shop!

 

" ....money makes the world go round and get on with life ..THIS IS THE EXACT KIND OF SE I WOULD AVOID.

 

Reputable PI? I bet you it is a BAD reputation PI!

 

I sincerely hope more of these CRAP PIs close shop sooner rather than later.

Whether one purchases a vehicle from PIs or ADs, speaking from experience, as much as the SEs would like to deliver the vehicles to their customers ASAP, most often than not, it's beyond their control. Which SE would want to delay in the handing of the vehicle to their customer, as this would affect their commissions.

 

The delay could be due to some companies adopting the accumulation method whereby they will bring in the vehicles in one shipment if the vehicle is out of stock. This would be much cheaper on the various shipment charges, etc. That is why some SEs were unable to fullful their obligation on the indicative delivery date that were given to the customers.

 

Though I have never purchased my vehicles from PI, I have to qualify that the above is my personal and impartial view that I have experienced with Authorised Dealers due to the specific colour that I want.

 

I believe that the more established and reputable PIs will not close shop just overnight unlike the small timers.

- Ben was able to answer most of the questions we had about the cars we saw

- and kept us updated about the COE bidding result and was easily contactable before and after collecting the car

- Ben was also accommodating and honest

-Delivery of the car was before the stated date on the sales agreement

-Accessories given for the car were equal if not more than what was given by some others

Eh bros, never take what SEs promises too seriously.They used alot of powerful words like "CONFIRMED CAN GET ON THIS DAY" and "Guaranteed lah!" but all are empty talk.

According to the contract, delivery date is on 15Dec2006.I still havent get my ride up till now.

 

Their reasons:-

- the SE wanna give me a fresh car from Japan(out of the blues without informing me in advance)

- their supplier (Hu- Y--g) are the ones delaying the shipment

- their company policy to deliver rides 14 days after 6bids (i got my COE in Oct06 and the agreement states 6bids non-guaranteed COE)

 

It seems that the SE is never at fault.Everyone else(ranging from long LTA inspection,delay at port,car suppliers delivery delay,etc...) are finger-pointed at by him.I must say he is a true angel from the PT industry

 

Their final date of delivery is on the 9Jan07(After waiting since 27Sep06) after I threatened them with letting CASE settling it for me.

 

BTW, the PI is Ca-ma- and the SE is Rich----.My car buying experience with them is

Probably this is the last time I will be buying cars from PIs unless there are regulating bodies formed to oversee these car dealers.

sorry to hear your plight. Hopefully your story will educate the rest to be more wary of PIs and their promises.

 

ADs are not Saints either but chances are, you will not be so disappointed. But more likely than not, buying from AD is a little safer.
