Mivec9 1st Gear May 24, 2006 Share May 24, 2006 first of all...change ur insur company...apparently the case is not ur fault and such case definitely can drag very long..sometimes 1 yr or more. henc unfair for ur current company to jump the gun and charge u immediately of the increment of the premium.. I wonder can you report to police with the written note? To me, this is cheating!

Dwoon 1st Gear May 26, 2006 Share May 26, 2006 First and foremost, check with other insurance companies on their premiums. AIG is known to be expensive. The rates given by other companies (with low NCD because of your case) might be even cheaper than AIG with original NCD %. I swithched from AIG to AXA and that itself saved me more than 30% ($1750 to $950) with same NCD %. Moreover, the terms are not too different. Cedsmsd Neutral Newbie May 26, 2006 Author Share May 26, 2006 hi bro thanks for ur advice....heard abt this AXA insurer....do u have the contacts maybe i can ask for a quotation.....so far only Aviva's quotation looks tempting
Will_I_Am 2nd Gear May 26, 2006 Share May 26, 2006 Does the insurer check with the parties involved when a claim has been made? Judging from the case, anybody can just claim against you so long as they gets hold of your name, IC and insurer. To me, the most basic thing for the insurer to do is to inform/verify with you that someone has made a claim against you, and you should be given an option to accept or rebuke the claim. Shouldn't this be the case?

Dwoon 1st Gear May 26, 2006 Share May 26, 2006 Here you go http://www.axa.com.sg/axa_ins_sg/index.asp...l&prodid2=motor You can fill in your details in the online application and they will call you back with a quotation. Alternatively, if you have an insurance agent, he/she will also get the same rates when they check for you. Only benefit is that you get personal service for renewal of road tax and they deliver the document to your location. Cheers!
