Ambious Neutral Newbie May 25, 2006 Share May 25, 2006 (edited) Hi, was thinking of getting a amp for my speakers. Got a pair of 6" 200watt 4ohm speaker and 2 pair of 5" 150watt 4ohm speaker. My budget is around 150 to 200. Any 4 channel amps to recommend that can power up the above speakers? Intend to put 2 pair of 5" on first 2 channel and 6" on the next 2 channel. Eddy216 Neutral Newbie May 26, 2006 Share May 26, 2006 (edited) Can try Boss Audio amps. I think they r the cheapest you can get brand new. I remember seeing quite a number of them at SLT. Maybe you might want to go there check them out. Edited May 26, 2006 by Eddy216

Yapsf Neutral Newbie May 27, 2006 Share May 27, 2006 Hi guys, Help needed. I've just replaced my stock speakers to component speakers. I replaced the 2 front door speakers to component speakers with separate dashboard tweeters, and replaced the 2 rear door speakers with built in tweeters. Brand is Bossmann if I'm not wrong. Did it in JB for around RM400. I did not add any amp. Now the mid-range and highs sounded really sweet, but I've totally lost all the bass. It sounded really shallow and hollow. What should I do next? What is wrong with the setup? My HU is stock Blaupunkt with 18Wx4 RMS output, with a max of 40Wx4. Is that power too small to power those speakers? What is the real problem with the setup, and what actions should I take: - 1. Add a 4-channel amp; 2. Add sound insulation around the speakers; 3. Upgrade the HU to a higher power HU (i.e. Pioneer with 52Wx4 RMS); 4. Add a subwoofer (this would be the last option, as my boot space it really small for it) Which is the best and most economical option would you recommend? Rontheman Neutral Newbie May 28, 2006 Share May 28, 2006 Get a 4 channel amp with subwoofer and you'll be golden. Run the front and sub off the amp and the rear off the HU.
