Red Octavia Ambiente SDP 6xxx spotted in URA carpark next to Midlink Plaza. Anyone?

How do you tell the trim level of an Octy thru visual recognition ? Does it say somewhere on the nameplate of something ?

Easiest way to recognise a Octavia Classic (Cheapest Model....like Mine!) is the side mirrors. Octavia classic has black side mirror, while the ambiente and above has side mirror with the same color as the body colour. Also the side strips on the doors are not standard items, and the wheel is 15" wheel with wheel cap. (higher model has 16" alloy rims as standard).

 

Won't be able to differentiate between ambiente and elegance, other than the badge at the rear.

 

Easiest way to recognise my car is the big dent on my front left !! @#$%X!

Err.....thanks for the clarification - that's so similar to the pointers I'd give to differentiate the 3-series bimmers.

Meow........is a bird, is a plane no is a Skoda Octavia. from far. But when the car come near the car logo is not Skoda but instead a VolkWagons logo????? fitted just nice. If u duno about Skoda car u will thought that Passat or Bora. Meow..... who car is that? Is a Blue Octavia drove passed Jurong pt this noon. Anyone???

Meow believe that the owner must be not happy with Skoda or lost the logo???

If u are not happy with Skoda this is the good choice.

Oh yeah...i spotted a cayenne orange octavia, SDP plate at Mersing carpark on Good Friday, 29 Mar 2002 too. Was still there when i returned from Tioman on 31 Mar. Hmmm... indeed it is So refreshing to see skodas in Malaysia.....the car is so unusual that even pump attendents stopped to ask what car it was when i stopped to refill.... hehehe!

Wah... don't say that . The Classic is a very competant car. A real workhorse. The Octavia is even sold with the 1.4 engine overseas!

 

The thing is... JTA spoilt the looks of the interior by putting the huge black cover over the front winding window handles. Other than that, its a very nice car too!

Sorry, but eyesight a bit poor to catch that level of detail when Octy's go zooming past in the opposite direction....

1.4l on an Octy ? Won't that make it a tad underpowered, especially with the aircon running and all that ? Far as I've read, even on the Leon, the 1.4's a bit on the weak side already - and that's effectively a Tody without a boot.....

I saw a black Octavia with yellowish brown leather seats parking at the free carpark near to the mac today... 27 May 2002 from about 3pm to 5pm.... does it happened to belong to any of u here?
