There are plenty of lots above the used car dealers. It's quite a distance away from the food court actually. Normally, we chit chat first then view each other's cars if we have something to show or share, so where you park doesn't really matter. See you tomorrow [:)] .

Hi Skodaman,

Yes, I confirm the following people were present at the meet up and are new to SOG. Kindly grabt them the access to the Lounge at your earliest convenience.

Thanks to all that did turn up, it was a pleasure meeting you lot. For those who could not turn up, see you guys on the next one. Lastly, for those who came but couldn't find us, my apologies. We were tucked away in a little corner in the food court. Obviously my Skoda cap wasn't that prominent. Next time, if I organize, I will try and be more specific about the venue.

Regards,

Hi,

Heard about this gathering from Raptor. Went there but due to the shortage of time, just went around the carpark to look for Skoda cars. Saw together 6 but only two are octavias. Now in a dilemma of better Focus and Octavia. Since seldom see Octy on Singapore roads so went there to take a look.

Saw the two Octy are with VW rims....how come?

The Octy now is going at $86, which is a good buy, I think. But how do you guys find the backseat space? Think is due to the big boot, makes the back seat a bit cramp.

Any major complains and problem of the car? What about the servicing? Easy to find workshop who know how to do this car?

Thanks.

hope to be one Octy owner soon. But need more people to convince me. sly.gif

"Saw the two Octy are with VW rims....how come?"

BTW, I am one of the Octy's you saw at TC with VW rims. My answer to your question: MoMo or BBS too expensive for me. [:(] Taiwanese, Thai, and Malaysian made rims are definite no no for me. [thumbsdown] Not many other affordable rims come in 5 holes PCD 100. There are also quite a few VW rims available for sale at affordable prices, since most VW owners upgrade to 17" or 18" rims. There you have it, my reasons. I don't know what are Skodaman's (the other Octy at TC) reasons, but the VW rims we both have came from VW Bora's and they definitely do enhance our Octy's looks. [sunny]

Yes, the Octy at $86K is value for money. No major complains from my family regarding back seat space. I will confidently tell you this, ALL Octy owners love the boot space. [thumbsup] I have yet to find something that couldn't fit in. [sly]

I hope that's enough convincing for you to join us. Good luck with your search for your ideal car.....hopefully an Octy [thumbsup] .

Volk74,

In answer to your queries......

Any major complains and problem of the car? What about the servicing? Easy to find workshop who know how to do this car?

Only major complaints regrading the car would inability to get parts from Czech Auto. But in due course it should be solved. As for servicing, there are workshops available BESIDES CA that can support Skoda. We shall not disclose it here for fear being labelled as biased view.

Do join us in our meetups.
