Changing AMP

Neutral Newbie

I DIY. I replace my current AMP with a 1000w AMP. Connect the ground and positive wire on the new AMP. Why is there no power? I thought all AMP using the same voltage?

Opps. I think I never. I just connect the positive and ground to my AMP. See no power, I very sad. Anyway. Is it true that all AMP using the same voltage?

Then I think it is very easy to DIY. Just connect the speaker Front L(+) L(-), R(+) R(-), and rear L(+) L(-), R(+) R(-). Then the audio input front on front, rear on rear with the power positive(+) and ground(-) and no forgetting the remote in order to link. [confused][confused]

If you have a amplifier before, then it is easy to change.

 

If you are installing a complete new amplifier, you need to lay a power cable with fuse from your car battery to the amplifier. It is a lot of work going through the the car dash board from the engine compartment. Tunning the amplifier need expertise too.
