Mugen is quality stuff. We compared it with cat back exos for Tegs, and the Mugen muffler actually sounded better, deeper and bassier. The finishing on the Mugen is also top notch.

Notice the JASMA Cert engraved on the LTA approved exos? That's needed for easy identification. Mugen exos for export comes with it.

Some people may fit over weekend, drive around, busy on Monday, meetings on Tue, plan to go on Wed, get caught on Tue night...

I'm just stating the official procedure to get it done 100% legally. If you want to do it any other ways, do it with your eyes open, that's all.

Also, if your exos is not the commonly approved type (like Supersprint), you may NOT get approval even if it comes with JASMA Cert etc. For my mugen, it was to be the first consumer Mugen exos for GSR, so definitely I waited for the in principle approval letter. If they decide not to accept the Mugen, it's still brand new and I can easily re-export it.

1. I see, I'm those impatient kind so if FK can't do it within 2 hours, I will not do it that day.

2. My ES5 has little choice so it has to be supersprint.

3. Mugen EXO, the much talked about thingy, is it really worth the premium based your experience?

Regards,

Mugen is quality stuff. Although mine is a sports muffler, it sounds even better than some of those full cat back systems. It is also specifically designed for Type S/GSR, so performance is well balanced.

Neutral Newbie

Lets say i am driving this car and one day i decided to change to LTA approved exhaust but i am not the registered driver of this car? Do i need the details of the registered driver before i can send it for inspection? Or i can just use my own details?
