I've registered a domain name, paid for webhosting (local based server), and now that DNS has propogated, http://www.sgcaraudio.com/ is up and running. I'd installed vBulletin (updated my owned license to use the latest version, 3.6.0) in http://forums.sgcaraudio.com/ late last night, and while it's still a work in progress (how I managed to install it half-asleep I swear I have no idea), you guys have a rough idea how it's going to turn out. I have invited the admin of the ICE DIY Forum to join me as co-admin. I've offered him access to a DIY subdomain on the site, as well as to be in-charge of a DIY section in the forums, and now I'm waiting for his reply. In the meantime, feel free to give it a test-drive SGCarAudio.com Just set up today, a new dedicated car audio/ICE website+forums to fill in the void left behind by SGSoundSystem.com Anyone keen to give it a test-drive? However, a check with the domain registrar shows that the domain owner has already renewed his domain till 28 July, 2007 and perhaps is struggling to get the forum up again. The former web hosting company (infusionz) is no longer in use by Calvin. Normally, when there is a change of web hosting company, if the transition is not managed properly, all the forum database is lost with the fromer web hosting company (in this case, infusionz). Better if all forums can collapse into one big happening ICE forum. Bobcatsysop Neutral Newbie August 18, 2006 Share August 18, 2006 (edited) Hi Bro, Actually, when sgsoundystem was down, Colin started this sgcaraudio to kind of fill this 'absence' and he mentioned that he may close it down when sgsoundsystem becomes operational again. Only thing is that the earlier web hosting server was a little 'slack' or slow whiloe sgcaraudio is very fast in comparison... thus C@lvin got another new server to host this sgsoundsystem.
