Rskc 5th Gear September 16, 2006 Share September 16, 2006 Hi all, Borrow the tread, cos dono how to post a new tread...:p Just for Optra owner...I just enquired 60k servicing cost at SA and AM. Bringing my own oil, SA quoted me $440 plus and AM quoted $220. 60k involves timing belt change and I am going for only authorised distributor for servicing. Do make a price comparison before doing your major servicing. Am wondering now why the BIG difference in price. Any bros can advise? Thanks... Tkew 1st Gear September 16, 2006 Share September 16, 2006 (edited) From what I know, you have a nice service centre in at SA with shelter and wait area for customer. For AM, it is just a zinc kind of overhead, i.e. the mechanic do everything in the open, much like what you get at petrol station's servicing centre. In terms of training, all the mechanic has the same training. It is just a question of no-frills and the other with all the bells and whistles. I am kind of surprised that there is a 50% difference, I wonder whether we are comparing apple to apple. BTW, I should be doing my 60K in about 3 to 4 weeks time too. So let me know if your experience at AM if you choose to do so. Cheers! Edited September 16, 2006 by Tkew
