Ck2998 Neutral Newbie August 30, 2006 Share August 30, 2006 Many of us have memories of the heydays of the Civic (EG and EK series) with its high-revving engines and F1 inspired all-round double-wishbone suspension. Things have changed eg emission standards and Honda marketing strategy. For these reasons and others, Honda has detuned its engines for the mass market. Imuya Clutched August 30, 2006 Share August 30, 2006 It really depends on what expectation you have for the car. Every car has its pros and cons Since the decision is already made, dont't worry too much about it! I'm sure you will be satisfied with MOST if not ALL of what the Civic has to offer. Jiayong 3rd Gear August 30, 2006 Share August 30, 2006 dun worry about what other pple say. Ask them what car they driving first before listening to their comments.
Tayadda Neutral Newbie August 30, 2006 Share August 30, 2006 With the choice of 2.0 SI, you can't go wrong. It won't be perfect but neither will it be far worst off than other makes in its category. Guess the only set back is its pricing.
Falc 3rd Gear August 30, 2006 Share August 30, 2006 Bro, I tested the 2.0, nice low end torque, u should enjoy it too. Just abit pricey i find, and other personal dislikes. Depending on your priorities, if the FD suits your needs and taste, then there's no wrong choice to make.
Bitauren 1st Gear August 30, 2006 Share August 30, 2006 i got it because i think its very nice personally heck the price like can liao!!
Falc 3rd Gear August 30, 2006 Share August 30, 2006 It's definitely a nicer overall package than many of the bread and butter models out there, so no worries. But if u r getting the auto, better have patience to tahan the wait.

Coolpica 4th Gear August 30, 2006 Share August 30, 2006 (edited) For poor people like me can't say 'heck the price, like can liao'. If not, I'll be driving Ferrari 599. Edited August 30, 2006 by Coolpica

Falc 3rd Gear August 30, 2006 Share August 30, 2006 Yes, same as the normal integra , but not the integra type R. Type R is much more powerful of coz.
Coolpica 4th Gear August 30, 2006 Share August 30, 2006 I'm just joking. Love to get the Civic FD as well, but I'm looking at the 1.6L. 1.8 and 2.0 tax are too high leh...

Fooman Clutched August 30, 2006 Share August 30, 2006 IMO, Hondas are over engineered and as such represent real value for money on top of driving pleasure. It is always referred to as the "BMW" of Jap cars. Of course it does not mean it is like a bimmer but the co shares the same philosophy- driver oriented. The new gen Hondas are well screwed together and drives/handles well, with adequate power to boot. A bread and butter car that has credentials. That's the beef! Cheers,
