Any lab reports to show whether SS drop-in has better airflow or a open pod with carbon fiber casing?

Better flow means leaking more abrasive silica(sand)into your engine.

yarlor, i heard BITOG report somewhere said tat high silica residues in SG cars' used oil...........

That means don't use high flow filters.

Any other preventive measures other than using back stock filter? Example like what I mentioned more frequent oil change?

What often do you intend to change your oil, 5 km, 3 km or 1 km? The moment silica gets into your engine, it will start doing its job b4 the next oil change. Of course, the diehard may claim that the oil filter will do its job of filtering out the silica b4 its does any harm. You got to weigh the risk and decide which way you want to go. Based on the period that most of us will hold on to out rides, it is likely to be minimal. But for me, better to be safe than sorry later on.
