CVT 'Gear Slip'???

CVT jerk a bit is quite normal? My Qashqai also jerk a little bit during move off however, normal cruising and gradual braking no jerk

ha.. and best part is that I've never gone back to them after 10k servicing... anyway, it is just another 8 months to the 36 months gearbox warranty...

by definition, cvt suppose to be seamless, smooth... becos there's no gear!!!

City/jazz's cvt gearbox is driven by a belt...

 

i'm not sure about other model

many axio already cvt failure, i suggest u cut the loss and dump the car before it totally fails

due to the inside of the cvt gearbox, the whole internals comes as a complete kit (less the housing)

the cost is 3-4x overhauling even an auto

 

 

hmm.. cannot be so bad mah... honda's cvt gearbox quite 'ok' leh... i came to know 1 guy with 200k+ mileage on his City.. his cvt gearbox is working fine... no jerks.. [thumbsup]

Some Lancers with CVT went up to 150k or 180k mileage and the gearboxes are still working well too.
